Just received my maturity letter. You can withdraw by cheque or transfer direct to your bank/BS.
Any ideas on how to transfer direct to your linked (external) bank a/c? Can't see any options to transfer from online banking.

I would have hoped FP today but more likely BACs received this Monday coming.

I actually can't see an option to make a transfer from online banking, the only account I can transfer from is another easy access savings account I hold with them, but not the bond.

The bond hasn't yet converted to a Mature+ a/c, so maybe I just need to wait, but it'll be good to hear what everyone else can see/do via their online banking.

Didn`t you receive a maturity letter and tell them what you wanted to do on maturity?
My account is today shown as zero and the money to be moved "via bank".(my nominated account)

I also received a maturity letter a while back, which enabled me to say where I wanted the maturity proceeds to transfer to.

Having logged in today the interest has been added and the amount transferred showing zero balance left. Not arrived at other end yet (should be there by end of tomorrow).

Don't know whether to mourn the end of this account :( or celebrate how good it has been. Thinking about it has to be the celebrate option :T

Yes, this account and the Northern Rock 5 year @ 4.3% (ends 2016), both really good accounts.

I've just logged in and the 5 year bond isn't showing at all. So I can't see the exact interest.

The only account showing now is my Newcastle Online Saver (Maturity plus 2)

I requested that the proceeds be transferred to my current account - but no sign of it there. I think I'll give Newcastle a ring.

Same here not showing at other end hopefully tomorrow if FP.

This was an account where you couldn`t really go wrong, fixed for 5 years BUT with the option to get out after 90 days notice.

    Celebrate and mourn. :T

I hadn't changed my address with them, so I haven't received the letter with the options, although I did pick up from earlier messages what the default option would be.

And indeed my bond has at some point this morning changed to a Maturity Plus (Issue 5) account, but I'm still not able to transfer from this account. I have another Maturity Plus (Issue 2) account from which I'm still able to transfer out.

My guess is I need to give it a bit more time before they'll activate the ability to transfer from this account.

    Me too.

Logged in but the Bond has disappeared and nothing yet in my current account.

When this bond was launched, I was stuck in Hong Kong for the birth of my second daughter. I was glad that I opened a newcastle online account before I left the UK because it let me open the Bond entirely online!
