Was it was your 'current' current account that blocked the transfer?

I don't have a Tesco current account but have had no problem moving £10K at a time to my Tesco E-Saver from other institutions. And vice versa.

It was Halifax that blocked my transfer. Spoke to an abnoxious woman in the fraud dept and now have to go to a branch with my phot ID:(

Also, just realised the Lloyds Vantage accounts still pay 1.5% for balances of £3K to £5K. Still kept 2 of those open so will stick 10K in there.

Got the full allowance in @1.75% last year for that one. :D
Although, I hadn't realised that there was a £50K maximum and actually went over it. :o I do normally check the T & C's.

They wrote to me telling me that they were returning the excess but that I could keep the interest it had generated, which was all of 3 days worth.

"Money is showing in my current account!

Anyone know what is the daily faster payment limit for Lloyds?"

£25k the teller informed me when I enquired on Wednesday.
After all these years however, the organisation who are going to be the beneficiaries of my gains from the North East have informed me that Faster Payments take the weekend off and don't start work again until Monday morning. I never realised that before, what a dummy.

That limit only applies to accounts opened since 3rd July 2013. For accounts opened prior to that "The maximum balance on the account is £5 million"

According to an earlier post the funds arrive in your account as cleared.
Take my advice at your peril.

Rats! I didn't open it until October 2013. Wish I'd noticed it earlier.

I've been told it's £10K per day for all banks.

I`ve just been looking at the Nationwide loyalty 1.7% for which I would qualify.
I don`t have a current with them and so the withdrawals from this account is either cash (up to £500 a day) or for larger sums cheque.
On one of their pages they give themselves a pat on the back for winning some best internet bank award but at the same time you can`t get your money out of the loyalty account by BACs.
Of course they will accept money coming IN by BACs.
Think I `ll give it a miss, too much hassle.
