Hello coronationkid,
We're very sorry to hear about the problems you've encountered and we'd like to help you out with the issue. If you could email rosie@myhermes.co.uk explaining the problem in detail like you have in this post, and include your postcode and any delivery number/parcel number that may have been included on the ticket left with you we will look into this and find out what has happened to your parcel.
Once again, apologies for the inconvenience this has caused you.

I am a Verified representative of MyHermes. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -
These guys are terrible. Because I wasn't expecting a parcel, I was out. Therefore the delivery guy thought it was an excellent idea to leave my parcel outside.
When I got home it was gone, now they won't talk to me because I am not the sender and I can't contact the sender because I don't know who the parcel is from!!
Who loses out because of their incompetence? - Me0 -
I arranged for two parcels to be sent by myhermes before finding this forum. It made me quite apprehensive about their service. One parcel was to Birmingham, the other to north east Isle of Skye from Bucks. The Brummie one arrived witin 5 working days. The Skye one within 7 working days which considering the weather in Scotland at that time and the remoteness of the destination I thought was acceptable and would use again. I think that if your parcel is not urgent myhermes is OK, if it is urgent use Royal Mail but pay a bit more.0

1) Surprise enormous stock pot which was well-wrapped, but nevertheless MyHermes found a way of denting it in two places through two layers of bubble wrap, including one dent that I had to hammer out with a rubber mallet, it was so large. 2) Some curtains that arrived yesterday and were draped, in the rain, over an unlocked gate shared with two neighbours; no attempt to leave a note or leave with a neighbour - just DRAPED OVER A GATE. So, 100% crapness rate. Would never use them.0

What, they unpacked your curtains and hung them on the gate??0

No service at all -to be avoided at all costs0

1. Their website does not work correctly in that the printer on your computer will not recognise labels unless the order is placed first, we had to phone them to inform of the problem and find this out.
2. We made an order on the Thursday evening to pick up on Fri 6th Jan. Instructions to pick up from our 'Conceirge' at the same address.
3. Still no pick up at 19.30hrs so were concerned, phoned company and they informed that they could not get in touch with the local courier they used until Monday 9th as they had, "Knocked off work". After much heated discussion we cancelled the order and the representative assured the order was now cancelled. (They would not give a cancellation reference though). They also informed that it would be refunded as requested. (Intuition doubted their sincerity and truth)
4. We thought nothing of it and had to spend £23 to send the item special delivery on Sat 7th via Post Office, due to time wasted and not trusting them to turn up on Monday (Which proved to be the case as they did not turn up until Tuesday afternoon).
5. To keep it short, the order had not been cancelled on the Friday until we made further complaint via emails. Eventually cancelled on the Monday when a refund was also acknowledged, (disputed the transaction via PayPal as a precaution) as we were informed by email that the order had not been cancelled.
6. On Tuesday 10th Jan 14.14hrs the MyHermes courier, some scruffy individual came knocking on our door to collect the item, despite cancellation and despite the refund. In no uncertain terms he was told where to go and what we thought of his company.
So feel free to make conclusions and note that they do not publish low scoring feedback on their site (that we gave them). Our perception is that they are an untrustworthy, unprofessional and an unreliable company.0 -
I have used them for years, Reliable collections and delivery, except twice parcel gone missing at the delivery end, Strange they both in same postcode area!:(paulofessex wrote: ȣ7.02 inc vat via ParcelMonkey0

I have been using myhermes for a year now, they atr ok, if you read the info you would get it right and not blame them, your supposed to print the label at your end and affix it to the parcel. That is why they asked for the label. I have not had any serious issues and the one I had was dealt with very very profesionally.:TJust a heads up for people thinking of using this company - don't.
From the very start it was unprofessional - the pickup guy started off by calling me randomly and asking if I had any papers, and where it was going, and was I the sender or the buyer (??).
When he arrived, he kept asking for papers, which weren't provided and left my brother with a tiny sticker with the name myhermes on it. Not sure what that was supposed to be about - so no confirmation papers, nothing.
After a couple of weeks, the buyer contacts me to say he hasnt received the item. I email and call the company all day - no response. The buyer has now put in a paypal claim and rightly so..
Steer clear, the hassle is not worth the tempting cheap prices on offer0 -
