Do not stay at Travelodge!

Well automatic doors can break down, it's not surprising they couldn't get them fixed at New Years. Although the dirty bathroom is inexcusable. It may be that it needed more specialist cleaning due to the blood and wasn't flagged as not being available.
As for the cash, that's not surprising either. I'm not even sure if reception has any cash at all. The majority of guests pay in advance on the website, the rest pay with a credit card on check-in. I doubt many pay with cash, even if they do allow it.0 -
I hope all the people who swear they`ll never ever use Travelodge again keep their promises then there will be stacks of £12 rooms available in the next sale.0

I think much of the problem could be from unrealistic expectations. For the prices they are charging, sure, some of them are a bit grotty, the pillows are rubbish and the staffing levels are low. But I've been in many worse a hotel asking much more!0

The simple fact is that Travelodge are the Ryanair of the hotel business-their prices are right, but they just keep on upsetting their customers, if they didin't why are there so many complaints?
I was charged for an extra room due a fault on Travelodges website, I am awaiting a reply from my written complaint, I will be absolutely desperate before I stay with them again.Filiss0 -

Just booked Gloucester for £19 a night for the end of this month, absolute bargain.
Roll on the next £12 sale which won`t be long now.
Should cover mid April to mid July.
The sale usually starts at 6am, but with all those saying they`ll never use them again and would rather pay treble somewhere else, maybe I won`t have to get up so early,as there will be loads available.0 -

Just 4 at £9 eh. I've got 31.
Travelodge usually supply you with three pillows. Two on the bed and one on the shelf. Personally I've always found two pillows together to be sufficient. The problem being when I'm not on my own then someone gets the single pillow! Most of the time you can ask reception for additional pillows, so just mention it when you check in and usually you'll get given one there and then!0
