They are very cheap but just intrigued as to any alternatives
Thank you in advance
I usually stay overnight about 2-3 times per week for work, so I'm always looking for the cheapest around. But I've yet to find anything that beats travelodge.
Even basic single bed accommodation in a pub is likely to set you back more than £40 per night. But with travelodge you get a double bed, en-suite etc.
So yes, I don't think much, if anything, can beat them.0 -
Never had a disappointing stay with Travellodge. Had plenty of bargain rooms and do not object to paying the full price when I have too. Customer Service has always been excellent, rooms always clean....what more can I ask.SallyD0

Minging shower curtain possibly?
Seems to be the most common fault. Particularly in the older lodges which seem to be maintained to a lesser extent than the newer ones.Trip to Tesco Express for some shampoo?
Well they don't supply shampoo or anything else save a small bar of soap, even that can't be relied upon.0 -

They do sometimes have horrible bathrooms. Pontefract/Ferrybridge for example, mould growing on the ceiling, not a good look. Although that might be an isolated case, I've not seen that at any other travelodge.0 -
i have booked the Edinburgh West one for a one night stay in October. It was by far the cheapest at £32 for one room with 3 of us staying there. I'll report back after my stay at how good/bad it was0

yeah I too saw a poster here with broken tiles in the bathroom, but I guess those are fixed and I did not had any problem.0
