You cannot get in your room until 3pm unless you pay a supplement. But on plus side you dont have to leave your room until twelve.
I always take one of those beer fridges and put fresh milk in it. Then I take cereals and plastic bowls and spoons.I buy cheese spread and keep that in fridge too and take crackers and knife.
I look on internet for nearest pub carvery as they are only about £3.50.
Also look for nearest Supermarket. Asda do any 6 items for £2 if you want a cooked breakfast.
Morrisons do fish and chips for two people with a drink each for £7.50 after £4.30. They have a lot of other meal deals for two some even cheaper but their fish is really nice so I stick to that.0 -
The Bhs cafe in Edinburgh city centre does a really lovely cooked breakfast for only a couple of quid...0

We stayed at Blackpool Travelodge (South Shore) last year, it was a ground floor room and we had our six year old daughter with us. The window would not shut properly and the lock did not work, we complained three times, being fobbed off with a 'we will get it fixed asap' response each time. The forth time of complaining we were told they couldn't do anything as there was no one around to fix it but we could change rooms if we wanted (this was four hours in to our stay and we had obviously unpacked) To make matters worse throughout the night we had different groups of what sounded like local residents (from what they were saying) shouting, effing and blinding right outside our window. We were told that security could not do anything as they were outside!! (Yes, outside by us and the car park, we had to pay for!!) We found somewhere else and left the following day. I will NEVER go to a Travelodge again. We usually stay at Holiday Inn, and I love it there.....I will continue to stay with them in future.0

One thing you learn about travelodge is that one hotel is *not* the same as another. Some have fantastic rooms and customer service, some don't.We usually stay at Holiday Inn, and I love it there.....I will continue to stay with them in future.
And are also considerably more expensive. I prefer Premier Inn to travelodge but they are usually double the price, so I stay at travelodge.0 -
Our bad experience was a couple of years ago now at Burton, we had booked two rooms for us and our friends, arrived around 9pm (we had told them we would arrive late and were told that was fine) and were met with the receptionist telling us the rooms were double booked and we couldnt stay there! I was 6months pregnant, and had an 18month old as well. She told us to go and find somewhere else! She suggested to try East Midlands Airport (quite a distance away - esp if you dont know the area) but she wouldnt ring through and see if they had anywhere available! Whilst I was talking to her my friend rang and got through to book two rooms to make sure we werent left without somewhere to stay. We complained, but all we got was my friend got a discount for 1 room for 1 night as he was the one to verbally complain over the phone. I was just about to book a room - I had forgotten all about it! May just have a look to see what else is available!!0

I have recently stayed at the travelodge in droitwich worcester, having never stayed at a travelodge before I was overall pleased with the hotel. I had booked two family rooms for myself and my family for the night, on arrival the travelodge looked nice and we had a warm welcome at reception. We then went up the the room's and one of the family room's the key was bent so it would not fit in the lock meaning we could not get into the room, so I went and told the receptionist. She came up to the room and at first she said would it be possible for everytime we wanted to go in the room to go and tell her so she could let us in with her pass key. I said this would be awkward as we would be popping in and out, so then she said she would move us rooms. The rooms were clean and tidy. Overall the stay was great and I would recommend the droitwich travelodge.
In january I have 2 nights booked at bangor and two nights booked at the caernafon travelodge, has anyone ever been to these travelodges and if so what are they like?

Stayed at Bangor in June,it`s set on a roundabout about 3 miles from Bangor centre.
There`s plenty of free parking and a little chef.
It was clean and generally OK,our room was at the far end of the building and on the first floor.
I counted 10 doors to open to get to it.
Much preferred the one at Porthmadog, opened last Dec. and only a short walk to the town.0 -
Cleanliness is what they have to improve a bit. I have never had any problems with any that I have stayed at.0
