Oh dear how sad nevermind. It won't do anyone any harm. But I would still complain anyway just to see what freebies they might give me. :D

a wee snail isn't going to kill anyone. Do you expect Tesco to check each and every grape?!

It is not the end of the world.

I found a slug in my Spanish Celery, I just washed the celery and let the slug out in the garden. It has to be expected at times.

If I had found it in some processed food (i.e. tins / ready meal) then I would have complained.

Spot on. If OP is prepared to eat any fresh produce without washing it then they accept the consequences. The girl who was sick in the loo needs to get a grip! Do folk really have no idea how fresh produce is grown, ie in fields open to the environment. What would she rather - that the grapes had been blasted with insecticide to ensure there isnt any chance of "creepy crawlies" on her food. I know what I would rather have. If this person has nothing better to do with their time than traipse back to Tesco to complain then go ahead, yes tesco will log the complaint which will probably trigger a chain of events that will cost a ridiculous amount of money and for what - another bunch of grapes? - total waste of time IMO.

Those will be the 'freebies' paid for by all Tesco shoppers then......
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

lol i once found a bone in the middle of my mc chicken sandwhich!

spoke to the manager who said well at least you know its chicken! (because rats obviously dont have bones in them lol)

anyway i was laughing about it - he was very nice about it and asked if i wanted to take it further to which i said no! he took my name and adress anyway and two weeks later i got a letter from mc donalds with £20 of vouchers in.

    i was very chuffed!

Bottom line guys - nobody wants a snail in their grapes. OP is entitled to have a moan to Tesco and to have some element of compensation. He/She did not expect to have a snail slithering around in a product.

All the arguments about things (including snails!) being natural are completely valid but I bet you wouldn't queue up for the "salad with mollusc" range. With me?

For the record, anyone who has studied law amongst us wiill realise that snails have been involved in some hugely significant case law which changed the law forever. It involved a certain snail and a bottle of ginger beer.
