Wash the snail off? It's presumably a creature that might be found naturally on the product, and isn't a health hazard so what is the issue?

Fry it in a bit of butter and cream.

it was still alive. I bought the bag for my office as a treat and we had eaten half of them. One poor girl was sick in the toilets. Can I complain?

You could weigh it and ask for the correct number of grapes to make up the difference.

Seriously though, you should wash grapes before eating them - there could be all sorts of stuff on them.

It is not the end of the world.

I found a slug in my Spanish Celery, I just washed the celery and let the slug out in the garden. It has to be expected at times.

If I had found it in some processed food (i.e. tins / ready meal) then I would have complained.

Oh God, is this going to be a repeat of the potato/slug fiasco?

Of course you can - it's quite legal to complain (politely) about anything you like.

If you do, they will almost certainly not admit any liability, but will ~probably~ give you something (maybe a gift voucher) as a gesture of goodwill. Nothing ventured, nothing gained...

if you want to, yes, but there was no danger.

the snail is probably very unhappy to have ended up in your office seperated from its famiy, and they dont generally like to eat grapes anyway, i suggest it actuaaly got into the grapes from a lettuce, so its probably also hungry poor little thing.
