I actioned the balance transfer from egg (Visa) -> harley (HBOS MasterCard) on Saturday morning on-line. It is now (Thursday am) showing on the MasterCard account BUT not yet vanished from the egg (Visa) account.

The on-line transaction said it could take up to 10 days

Activated and did a balance transfer - no fee confirmed. Set up a DD for minimum payments by phone as well. Balance transfer will take upto 10 working days. Very happy.
  • Has anyone tried applying for more than one of these charity cards??
I have a large balance to transfer and may need a couple to spread it over.

Hi All, Applied for a 'GOSH' BT tp o pay off another SBT which is coming to an end. The GOSH card has offered me MORE than I need to pay off the SBT card - is it possible over-borrow on this card. ie will they charge me to move the positive balance from my SBT card into my personal account?

Does anyone know and is there anything I need to be wary of?

    regards

Condition 2.2 of the agreement which OH signed states 'Each month you must repay at least 2% of the amount you owe to us, etc' which is the same as the T's & C's on the website for the Macmillan card. However, the first bill came in today, asking for 3%. OH will ring when he gets home and see what they have to say.

OH rang HBOS this evening and the person he spoke to said all affinity cards have a minimum repayment of 2% and that there had been a mistake. He first told my husband to only pay 2%, not the amount requested, but I told OH that it had been set up by DD. The guy at HBOS then said they would amend the DD and take 2% and not 3%. Personally, I am unconvinced, and will wait with baited breath for June 6 and see what comes out of the current account.k

I am considering applying for one of the Charity Cards. I phoned The Bank Of Scotland Card Services (as I couldn't find a phone number on the NSPCC charity card website) and have just been told that the NSPCC has a 2% BT Fee, and that the 0% period is only 6 months, which is obviously different to what their own website is stating http://www.charitycard.co.uk/nspcc/default.asp

As a result I am still reluctant to apply for a NSPCC card - can anyone give me a phone number that will hopefully get me to someone who realises that there is no BT fee during the introductory period?
