  • I also spent £90 today on 2 tickets to see Dancing on Ice at the 02 in April. My mum gave me £40 for her ticket, but i didn't realise i'd have to pay £4 in fees per ticket and also £2 for postage, so will have to ask mother for £5 tomo. We are both big fans of dancing on ice, its wicked.

  • Yeah the police pension is REALLY good, isn't it wednz i think its prob one of the best pensions you can get. Only 22 years before he retires at the age of 50. Good think starting in the police when your 18 i guess.

Your night sounds great with the pizza, can't wait to be able to eat that again.

I have a pension with work but not sure how much it's going to be worth, or what happens if and when I leave there.

Glad you're feeling better, enjoy the Cbb final, I'm going to :)
  • Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling very well and hope you're better now.

You're new coffee machine and cups sound great. Just think about all the money you will be saving!

I'm 23 and don't have a pension... eek. Scary isn't it, all this grown up stuff- I still feel about 19, can't believe I'm 24 this yr!

Your Pizzas sounded really yummy, and I bet your excited about your dancing on ice tickets!

  • Oh my god its been a manic week and weekend!!!! So much going on at the mo, birthdays galore and i'm spending money like there's no tomorrow :( everything seems to cost money

It's my OH's birthday tomorrow, so looking forward to giving him the Dublin pressie. I have just been to Sainsurys to buy the birthday dinner for tomorrow, OH's family are over so will be cooking dinner, and also bought some Guiness cans to trick OH with. I will put the tickets in with the cans, he will probably just think i've been a tight moo this birthday, when in fact i have spent nearly £400  £300 for trip, then airport parking (£20) then tickets to the Guiness Storehouse (£20), the food for tomorrows meal (£20), meal on Saturday (£60), bits from Clintons, 2 helium birthday boy balloons, cards etc (£10) poop that's just over £400, but does include me going on the Dublin trip too so much deduct a little bit :rotfl: I had bought him the Wii new Mario game too for birthday, but putting that away for Valentines, romantic eh. I will also be getting him the usual mushy stuff, as we fly out to Dublin on valentines, seen some lovely valentine bits from Sainsburys i could take with us.

Its also my bro's 18th birthday on Saturday, and my nieces 3rd birthday next week, so i think i have spent about £600 on birthdays just this month alone. It's also my sisters 22nd birthday next month, and i'm organizing the New York trip, so gotta put £150 in for that. One good thing, it's my birthday next month too, 2 days before my sisters :T Also, damn i nearly forgot, it's mothers day next month too  more money LOL!!! Love ya really mummy! I'm not moaning, i promise!

Works been a bit manic lately, so much to do, I'm doing 12 hour days! I'm just thinking of the money.

My laptop had to go back to Apple in Bluewater on Sunday so they could fix the casing that they broke when they had it, collected macbook back tonight and it's all shiny and new! Love it!

Just watching Desperate Housewives, then bed i think!

    Enjoy the birthdays
  • Wow you have had a busy few days having a bit of a spend up! But if you have the money you shouldn't worry and enjoy yourself :) Your OH is sooo lucky, you are very generous and thoughful. Just don't go spreading the word to my OH, or he too might start expecting exotic weekends away for Valentines day this year hehe.

Hope you have found some time to relax a bit during this manic week and enjoyed Desperate Housewives.

  • It's the weekend- yay!!!!!! AT LAST!!!! This week has just dragged, it's been horrible. It's been a mad week too, every evening doing something after work, so just feel like i've not rested. And now i've got to get ready for a birthday weekend of fun!

It's my OH's surprise meal tomorrow night, my best friends parter has been called into work tomorrow now (he's also police), so he might not be able to get home and then back to Kent for the meal, so i've said to my friend i will drive to sussex to pick her up, save her driving up and then her OH turning up later in his car, plus she's pregnant, only 8 weeks but feeling very sicky, so i don't want her driving back in the evening alone. So need to think of an excuse tomorrow afternoon to get myself out the apartment for 3 hours without OH wondering where I've been. I'll then drop her at the restaurant and head back home to get ready and get OH. It's also my lil brothers 18th tomorrow, so popping round there before heading out. Can't believe he's 18, he's off out for his first proper night out ever on Saturday, both mum and I will be worrying about him all night cos he's a really sweet shy boy, just hate it if someone picked on him. He's going with a group of mates, but both mum and I are big worriers. I just worrying what I'm going to be like when i have children, never letting them out cos i'll be a worrying mummy.

OH's birthday yesterday was lovely, he LOVED his pressies. I made a really fancy meal in the evening for us and his folks, everyone was very impressed with my fancy cooking skills. I do like cooking, just wish i had more time to actually do it.

My friend told me about a half price offer our local salon is doing, half price hair and beauty treatments for something you have never had before. I've never been, it's too expensive, but friend goes a lot and raves about how good it is, so i've booked my cut and full head highlights for next Saturday before we go away, and it's only going to cost £55! woo!!!

We got 4 Odeon cinema tickets for a christmas present, they arrived a couple of weeks ago and we have been meaning to take advantage of 2 and watch a free film, so i think this Sunday we will. After or before Chelsea v Arsenal of course!

After this and next month's birthdays I'm going to save like mad, £800 away every month into savings account where i can't touch it.
