  • You're so very good doing the ironing.. I never iron unless something really needs it. I must look so creased all the time!
    Have fun!

  • Well i didn't manage to do the ironing, i started watching CBB and then just forgot, whoopsy! I really must do it tonight as OH is at work till 8 but again, i cannot be assed :D

Another day done, i have Friday off so only 2 more days for me this week, yippee!

I spent my lunch hour today working out ways to save money for Dublin, and i stumbled upon a purple parking discount code, so that's £5 saved on the airport parking, just needed to look into travel insurance now and find some offers.

I also decided today that I'm going to speak to my family and ask that everyone gives my sister money for her birthday in March so i can use it and plan a trip to NYC for her. She's always wanted to go, but because she's a single mummy she never has the money to save for it, so she will love this (i hope). I'll obviously go too, it'll be a great girly holiday, and be nice if my mum can come as well. I don't plan on us going till November, so it'll give me time to save for me going. Plus November we can use it as a Christmas shopping trip too. So another trip for me to plan. I'll save £70 a month in my sealed pot starting from February and then i'll be able to afford it. If i cut out buying lunch everyday i won't be saving anything really :D Had a quick look at prices and it'll be about £490 each, but if i look for deals throughout the years i could get it cheaper if i book the hotel/fight in the sales later on it the year.

Yuk - somebody offered me £88 for my tat today :rotfl: they must be mad! I hope to get about £65 but nothing more i don't think.

Can I come to NYC? I'm just browsing at cottages in France......
  • I best get listing on ebay then, my OH collects tat, i could make a fortune, and he probably wouldn't even miss it.

Course, more the merrier to NYC, open to all girlies :-) going to see if i can rent an apartment in New York rather than a hotel.

  • Just found a deal for £455 each for 3 nights in NYC flying with American Airlines on bonfire night, staying in the 80th out of 410 hotels in New York. Hmmmm. Tempting to book now and i pay for it all until my folks give it back.

Boots sale is definitely tomorrow, so i'll be at the door at 8.30 tomorrow ready for the goodies! Woo!

  • Everyone can, my sister would love it! I've been to NYC a few times now, so know all the best places :-)

I've tried to convince myself i don't need the boots sale, but i can't help it when it comes to bargains! I love a good bargain.

Just speaking to my ma now about NYC, hopefully all the family will agree its a good idea.

  • aww wow Hayles, your New York trip idea sounds AMAZING!! You're so great at thinking up these exciting trips for people and I admire your motivation! Hopefully your family think it is a great idea too!

Is the boots sale happening all over the UK tomo? I might pop in to get a few birthday presents for the yr. Although, that might be a bit dangerous, knowing me and my addiction to lipgloss!

    xx

  • Sorry Hayley, i should've replied sooner. Yes the Boots sale was yesterday nationwide. I hope you managed to get a few nice bits and stayed away for the lipgloss :rotfl:

I was at my local Boots at 8.10 yeseterday morning, it didn't open till 8.30 so it was just me and one other lady waiting, then it got to about 8.25 and 20 more people just appeared. It was very civilised to begin with, but 10 minutes later it was heaving and people were just chucking everything they saw in their bags, she had 7 bags at the end  felt like saying do you really need all that stuff?! I got some really nice bits, £200's worth for about £50 so i was happy :j I couldn't see any toys to begin with for my niece, but found a childrens cup cake maker, she will love that. Also got lots of other bits, and some nice bits for myself.

I took the top back to House of Fraser yesterday, so the £45 refund more or less paid for the bits from Boots.
