I'm back!!!! And what a fab time we had in Dublin. It's not what i expected the city to be like, but we still had a fabulous break and loved every minute of it. We had 4 days there so 2 days just explored the city, and then the other days we took coach trips out the city. My best trip was the trip to the mountains and lakes where i got to see where they filmed PS. I love you :j love that film, so to be where they filmed it was great.
I surprisingly really liked Guinness, especially the pint i poured myself in the Guinness storehouse
I now have the rest of the week off to do as i please, OH has stupidly gone back to work today, and boy did he struggle getting out of bed this morning. I think i will sort through the pics, visit my sis and niece and then maybe some cleaning and i may bake some valentines cup cake for OH like i was going to before we went away but didn't get the chance. I'm also going to do pancakes tonight as we missed them on Tuesday.
We spent about £330 whilst away, which wasn't too bad especially as the euro to the pound at the moment is bad.
From now until the end of the year its saving like mad and no more breaks, okay maybe just one more city break to Italy in the summer, but no more big holidays until maybe next year when we will go to South Africa on safari. We have lots more places on our list to visit before we start having a family.
Hair turned out lovely, and it only cost me £55 for colour and full head of highlights. The guy persuaded me to buy some hair products, so i ended up spending £100 in total as i bought some heat protection spray, and 2 big bottles of bed head shampoo and conditioner which the bloke said will last me a year. I was a bit mad at myself for spending so much on hair products that my OH kindly said he would pay the £45 and give it to me as an extra valentines day gift, bless him :A
Right, just getting out of bed now and will start to get ready so i can shoot out to my sisters, give them their gifts, and also pop to Sainsburys to get the baking bits.

Hehe Yuk, i may try the Guinness over here, it can't be that bad can it?
Well just finished baking the valentines cupcakes, now waiting for them to cool down before i do the icing and decorate them all pretty. I bought red and pink icing, and some heart decorations to go on top. I have made chocolate and sponge cupcakes.Looking forward to icing them. I couldn't be bothered with making my own iceing, so when i saw this in Sainsburys i had to get them http://www.britstore.co.uk/Easter-Eggs/c791/p6073/Cadbury-Creme-Eggs-48s-Box/product_info.html in red and pink, will make icing that much easier. Also bought a silver spoon writing icing set so i can spell out "I love you".
OH will be back soon, i must crack on!

It's gorgeous isn't it Maria, we loved it in the mountains, so soo pretty! It's quite cheap too for a 5 day break.
Ooooh hopefully it will last me a year then, that'll be great, save me buying shampoo every month.
Maybe i'll keep away from Guiness over here then, that's a shame, i'd quite like some Guinness.

Hayles! Welcome back and glad you had a lovely time in Dublin. It sounds really nice there, would love to take OH one day. I didn't know you are going on safari next year, wow!! I bet you are looking forward to that.
Really glad your hair turned out nice and £55 was a real bargain. Sounds like your new products should last you some time too so will hopefully save you some cash in the long term.
How did the cupcakes turn out? I'm currently reading the Hummingbird Bakery cookbook and every recipe looks amazing!Money paid out from Topcashback so far= £105.89 :j

Thanks pinkhayles! We have wanted to do safari for years now, just not had the time, we would do it this year but want to buy a house so it will now be next year. Sooo exciting!!
I stupidly dropped my heat protection spray and it cracked, so now that's wasted, £10.50 down the drain! Boo!
Today I'm taking my little princess niece to the cinema with my mum to see Disney Princess and the Frog, then may take her for a naughty happy meal, she's not often allowed Mc donalds so will be a treat.
Cupcakes turned up perfect, just like the big one's you buy in the shops! Very impressed with myself, they looked brilliant and tasted yummy! They are all pink and Red, and have soppy messages on, i was going to give OH one for lunch but he know's he'd get laughed at, must be a bloke thing.
Best go start getting ready, need to leave at 11 and i get ready slower and slower these days.

Sounds like you had a fabulous time in Dublin which is good to hear.
I always end up buying profucts too. I bought some shampoo last time for dry hair but just seemed to make my hair dryer so that was annoying!
Hope you and your niece enjoyed the cinema.0 -
Sunday already.....:( back to work tomorrow! Don't you hate having a week off then having to go back to work.
Yesterday was spent cleaning the apartment from top to bottom, then after that doing the recycling at Sainsburys and then doing the weekly shop after. That was about it for yesterday, in the evening we watched The Hangover, OH got it on blu-ray for Christmas and we've only just got around to watching it. It's very very funny, we saw it at the cinema and loved it. It's great seeing Las Vegas again, makes us want to go back. Think OH will have his stag do there if we ever get married :rotfl: we'll get married in the states anyway so while I'm in NYC with the girls getting ready for the big day OH and his pals can go Vegas, well we'd like to get married in America and New York at Christmas time would be my fairy tale wedding. Then after the reception we can get in our cadillac, roof down, wind in the hair, and drive from state to state for a couple of weeks for our honeymoon, PERFECT!!!!
I'm really not managing any money making at the mo, just seem to be spending money like its going out of fashion. Ordered The Hills season 4 and part one of season 5 yesterday, so that was £21 spent, just can't stop..! As soon as pay day is here, 26th Feb, it'll be saving like mad, £800 away every month and won't be touched.
The cinema on Friday was great, love Disney movies, niece loved it too, so did my mother. My niece has a tendency to half way through the film say "Can we go home now", i just always so no, and she soon gets back into the film.
Today I'm going to sort out the finances, sort out my music collection on itunes, maybe watch a bit of footie, then cook the Sunday roast. Oh and maybe look for some money making ideas.
