What a week, and it's not even over yet :( work has been manic this week, and i've been shattered every night. However, tomorrow is Friday, and even better it's my birthday!!! :j:j

This evening i popped to Krispy Kremes to get a box of dozen doughnuts for work tomorrow, why you have to buy cakes on your birthday i don't know?! :o

I also popped to get my sisters presents, she's 22 on Sunday, i am giving her £60 and also went to clintons and bought a big pink box, and lots of pink paper and bought bits from The body shop, lush, Soap and glory and have made her a pamper box so she can pamper herself when she doesn't have my niece. She's a single parent, her and OH split up but it's worked out well and my sisters has her during the week and alternate weekends. So a pamper box will be nice, she could do with pampering herself as my niece can be a right madam at times, terrible 3's, she wasn't really a terrible 2 kinda girl.
I was going to do the New York trip wasn't I, but i looked for deals the other day and it's rocketed, plus with the really bad dollar at the mo i don't want to waste money so may do it for Christmas now.

Right, best get on, i have been watching Five days this week on BBC one and it's episode 4 now, so best get on watching that.

Thanks girls!!! I am now a big 26 years of age, where are the years going?!

Friday night OH and I just stayed in and got a takeaway and chilled, and yesterday my friends and sister wanted to take me shopping, so off we trot to Bluewater in my car and guess what, the bloody thing broke down as we were stuck in traffic for about 2 hours. It over heated so pulled over and smoke was coming out the bonnet. Called AA and turned out it had nearly no water (i must change water) and the fan had gone so it wasn't cooling down. My OH very kindly came and picked us all up and took us shopping, then this morning we went back to get my car and 8 am (when it was cold) and drove it back, i was a bit worried it would brake down again but luckily no cars about really and it was all motorway so had the cold air going into the car as i was driving. OH was behind me so if anything did happen he'd of been there. He's my knight in shining armor, always comes to my rescue. Got to take it to the garage tomorrow as i can't drive it until it's fixed. It's due an MOT at the end of the month so just going to book that in too, knowing my luck it will come back with hundreds of faults, i've always forked out £900 on a new exhaust in December. Once the problems have been fixed I'm just going to sell it, as its nothing but trouble this car, every week something seems to be going wrong. Just going to get my Mini One, and this time keep an eye on the water levels and every other level inside the bonnet.

We have friends over today, I'm cooking a big Sunday roast. OH and I went to Sainsburys when we got back, spent £140 but that normally lasts us 4 weeks.

Back to my birthday, i was a very lucky girl, i got lots of money (which will now probably be used for the car) i also got tickets to see Manchester United play next month and a weekend in Manchester (whooohoo) also got lots of other lovely little bits. Yesterday didn't buy much shopping, i did however buy a lovely grey bag and black leather purse from River Island for £80, its a much smaller bag than i usually go for and i can actually find the things I'm looking for now. My current bag was a bit like Mary Poppings bag.

Glad you had a nice birthday, shame about your car breaking down on you. You have had many problems with it the just recently, i dont blame you wanting to buy a new car. You will be worrying everytime you go out in it what might happen next. Good job you have AA. My breakdown cover is my OH:rotfl::rotfl::D

    Have a good evening.:)

Glad you had a great birthday, sounds like you got some fab pressies as well.

That is awful about the car, seems everyone is having problems with them at the moment. Hope it doesn't cost too much to sort.
  • Glad to hear you had a great birthday Hayles.

Sorry to hear about your car troubles. I completely understand what it's like. I never felt confident driving my old car in fear of it breaking down on me. It will be so much better when you get your mini. Hope it doesn't end up costing too much to get it fixed.

You're sunday roast sounds delicious, very envious of that! I love yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes and roasted parsnips :D

I know what you mean about having a Mary Poppins bag. I can never find anything in mine. I bet it's nice having a new smaller one.
