I'm doing well with the free magazines courtesy of the lovely diet coke people! I used one of my free vouchers for the heat magazine this week and it just so happens its a double magazine this week so i got Heat and Closer for free, saved myself £1.95. I also bought 2 more 6 packs of diet coke as they are 2 for 1 in Sainsburys still and i've got 2 more free magazine vouchers to use :j so 12 x diet coke cans and 2 free magazines all for £2.85, bargain!! May get some more diet coke cans tomorrow as its a good offer the 2 for 1 and saves spending 60p a go in the coke machine at work, plus can get some more magazine vouchers! :)

Just waiting for OH to get home for work then i can make dinner. I'm doing my own Nandos again tonight, we have the Nandos sauce, bought pitta bread, and chicken, and other bits we need, so it'll be the Nando's pittas, chips and spicy rice! yum!

Footie evening tonight, Chelsea Portsmouth on Sky or Fulham spurs on ITV, decisions decisions!!!

2 more days to go then the weekend! Yippee!!!

Are any of you girlies a member of a gym? If so are they worth it? I'm thinking of joining my local David Lloyd and wondered if gyms were really worth the money? Membership would cost £44 a month, but that gets full use of the gym, spa, sauna, swimming facilities and also all the classes. I LOVE spinning, and would love to get back into it again, plus really want to tone up and lose weight before summer. Its just a lot of money a month! I don't smoke, hardly drink, so £44 a month for an enjoyment is not much i think. Plus be nice to get up early on Sundays and pop to the gym, then have a nice swim, and an hour in the sauna and steam room.

    Any thoughts?

  • Hey Hayles,

I really need to look into this coke voucher business. Keep meaning to buy some. Any excuse to reading trashy magazines eh?!

I'm not a member of a gym because I really cannot afford it at the moment. If I could and was certain that I'd use it then I probably would though. Although I know what I'm like having best intentions and then quickly losing interest but you may have more motivation to stick at things than me :).

Your Nandos chicken dinner sounded lovely. My OH would love it if I cooked that for him one night.

The gym is worth it if you will definately go. I have been a member before and I do go quite a lot because I was paying for it. I am too knackered now though after work etc so I know if i joined one i prob wouldnt go much.

It was payday yesterday and i have been going a bit spending mad  House of Fraser had one of their 25% off days so popped in there last night as i am on the look out for a wedding outfit for next weekend, i ended up buying 3 dresses, costing £160 for the three that is :p, and wanted OH to pick the one he liked. So ended up going with the pretty pink Oasis dress which cost £60 but with 20% of only cost £48 so was happy with that. Also picked up a pretty top in the sale for £5, but with the discount only cost me £4, bargain!!

Then today i went shopping with a friend and also had lunch. Spent £13 on the lunch and £15 in Body Shop as they had a really good sale one, three really nice gift sets for £15, when they were all £20 originally, so giving one to my mum, one to OH's mum for Easter as they don't eat choccy! Then on the way home popped in Sainsburys and spent £30  £15 on food and wine, my treat for the eve, nice bottle of rose whilst watching a film, and i also spent £15 on easter bits, £4 on a ferrero rocher easter bunny for OH, didn't want to get him one of the same old easter eggs like every year, i also picked up some bits for my niece, i don't like buying her chocolate as she;s only 3, so got her a really cool game called topsy turtle, she will love that, it was reduced from £16.99 to £8.99, and i also got her some easter craft sets so she can make her own easter bunny, will put all that in an easter gift bag for her too.

And the spending doesn't stop, i have my MOT booked in for Monday, paid £35 online and booked it in with Kwick Fit, there will definitely be something wrong, always is with my car, so that will probably cost me a good couple of hundred

Tomorrow off to the cinema with sis to watch Bounty Hunter, don't ya just love Gerard Butler!!

I'm just about to sort out my budget, and after next weekends trip to Manchester, i won't be spending a penny!

I also bought 2 more packs of dark chocolate in Sainsburys so will make some more of my lovely chocolate brownies for work next week! And only a 4 day week! result!

Due to my spending this month i probably won't be joining the gym until next month, i don't have anything to budget for then so will be able to save a fair bit and join the gym too!

I always go a bit mad when I get paid. You can't help it can you! At least you managed to find a dress as can be quite hard to find one you like sometimes.

Hope you are enjoying the weekend.
  • Sounds like you have had a very spendy few days Hayles! At least you have found a nice dress though and it wasn't that expensive really.

Good luck with your MOT, I hope it passes first time. It's horrible waiting for them to do it isn't it? Feels like taking your child to sit an exam!

MOT done, wasn't as bad as i expected it to be, total cost £124, it had a broken coil spring or something, didn't really know what he was talking about so just said yes go ahead with it and get it done, even though i could've probably got it cheaper elsewhere, but then i would've had to re-book it in for another test and pay the test fee or £35 again, so all in all not bad, its now passed so thats good, can get it in Autotrader now and get rid!!! Hooray!!!

I was naughty on Sunday and popped into town to pick up a few bits, and ended up spending £10 in Primark for a Maxi dress, and £25 in New Look on 2 pairs of shoes, i did use a 20% voucher though which meant it would've been more if i didn't use voucher. One pair of the shoes, a grey pair, are to go with my dress http://www.oasis-stores.com/Ruffle-Front-Shift-Dress/All-Dresses/oasis/fcp-product/3470052145 just need to find a lovely grey colour jacket to go with it.

Tonight OH is working late, so it's an evening of footie, united v Bayern Munich, go go United!

2 more days left at work then the weekend away, yay!!!
