Once again. our wedding is booked, save the dates have gone out and we are getting phone calls to say 'what would you like'. We never thought about this before now and when the subject came up we thought well there's nothing we need, shall we ask for money towards a holiday that is if people are adamant on giving something, we haven't booked a Honeymoon and wasn't thinking of one untill this came about.
I realise that but I didnt actually say you had booked a honeymoon so cant see the problem.
But when it comes down to it ,you want money for a honeymoon.

people are calling asking what we want, we dont want anything, people say we'll were going to get you something we're not turning up emptied handed,

If you have already told some people that you dont want anything, then I would really think about putting a poem in with your invites, as if I rang a friend an asked what gift they would like/need and they said nothing, then a few weeks later an invite appears with a poem asking for money I would be a bit narked.

If someone else rings you just tell them you and planning for a honeymoon and would really like a small contribution towards that. Just be honest with your friends and family.

Do you have/plan to have a wedding website? If so just put a short sentance on there.

What a great idea, I'll try anf get my OH to have a look with me, would be great to have something like this to keep people informed, and I like the light heartedness of it all, with the games and jokes :D

    Hi Cleo

I am putting the following on my weddingpath site, I hope it helps:

We have been living together for a while so we're hoping that people won't feel obliged to buy us the obligatory toasters etc.

There is nothing we really need, however some of you have already asked what we would like as a gift so we have provided details of a small gift list below. If nothing there takes your fancy and you'd still like to offer a gift, then Travellers Cheques for our honeymoon would be greatly appreciated.

Please do not feel obliged to choose either of the above options. We know most of you will have to travel a fair few miles to be with us and so your presence is preferred above your presents!

Lots of love and see you soon!

Good luck whatever you decide! xx
