    The biggest thing to learn regarding weddings is that you won't please everyone all of the time. It's your big day, do what you want, and if people don't want to buy you anything they don't have to (including vouchers). People who are outraged by vouchers/money over presents would certainly not be welcome at my do, as surely they are both exactly the same. I wouldn't however "demand" a gift/voucher just because someone is coming, I want them there, and if they feel like they would like to contribute to our honeymoon then that's equally fine.

    One thing I do find rude though was at a friend's wedding where the cheapest item on their list was £50...I got them vouchers for £30 out of protest - there's a recession on!!! They had no problem with it, however I know that most other people did the same as their gift list was so expensive, so big deal, they used the vouchers towards some of the stuff that was on their list.
