Just had an email from Past Impressions-thought you might be interested...

We want to clear the shelves of our Christmas cross stitch kits to make way for all the new designs that are coming in 2010. There are some big bargains to be had, but stock is very limited so don't delay - if you see something you like, buy it now to avoid disappointment. Once it's gone, it's gone!

Discounts can be found on Christmas cards (it's still not too late to get them stitched for this Christmas), decorations, advent calendars, coaster kits, wind chimes, character kits, as well as beautiful Christmas pictures from designers such as Thomas Kinkade and Margaret Sherry.
And newsletter readers can get a further 5% discount .....

You can get a further 5% discount on already discounted sale items if you spend more than £20 on Christmas sale stock. Simply enter the code "XMAS5" in the coupon box at checkout. Offer ends Sunday 6th December.

And finally just to remind you, all UK orders qualify for FREE delivery and we are happy to ship overseas too.

  • Hi Everyone :j

I have been doing cross stitching for about 6 mnths and love it even though I am a slow learner, could someone please post where I can buy the kits from? I have not been able to do any for a couple of mnths as where I live we only have 1 shop that sells them.
Any help will be gratefully recieved, I have been looking at the pictures on here and they are fab if only I could live up to these standards.

    TIA

Oh gosh - where to start!!

It all depends in which style of design you prefer......there are so many sites - ebay is always good for cheap kits. A personal favourite store of mine is www.sewandsew.co.uk

I honestly don't have a flipping clue :rotfl:

I suggested to hubby we take his tv down off the wall and utilise that space...but he was having none of it. :p

I think I will just swop it for an older picture I have up atm.

    Hi everyone,

Haven't posted for a week or so as no progress to report on any other cross-stitch UFOs.

Louise - the baby cube is gorgeous.

Had a spare afternoon as my car battery is flat (DS1 decided to put the ignition key in whilst scraping the windows this morning, which turned on the heaters full blast and killed the battery....bless). I took the time to go through my cross stitch cupboard (chest in the lounge) and was surprised to find only 3 unfinished cross stitch projects. Was thinking I had loads more.

Anyhoo, I have decided to go for the smallest one first which I will photograph tonight/tomorrow, and take it from there. After that there's the chicory flower fairy (grrr) and then a French Flower Shop which is all half cross stitch using 7 strands in places (no idea why I gave this up :rotfl:).

Also had a count up of kits I haven't yet started - 15  not including charts in mags and books that "I will get to one day....". And there was me in WHS today eyeing up the latest Cross Stitch Crazy mag - crazy? me?

As others have said there are so many sites to buy from these days it's hard to name them all.
I find e-bay quite cheap to buy from. Look over the sellers feedback to be as sure as you can be they are a good seller and set your max and stick to it.....says she who doesn't practice what she preaches :rotfl:

I have bought a frame from www.sewandso.co.uk before and they delivered quickly so I would recommend them.
Other sites recommended on the 2 cross stitching threads have been....
    www.wimblebees.com
    www.blacksheepwools.co.uk
    www.stitcher.co.uk
