^^What count fabric is it on? if it's 14ct I would probably just have done the 2 threads....but I like an easy life lol

It's 14ct. Plus this is the first time I've ever stitched on a coloured aida.

Thanks for all the advice re. posting - bad news is that I have remembered even more stuff now and can't find the camera lead to upload the piccies of my unfinished masterpieces - will have to borrow a camera and lead from work - have got to get motivated (and soon!)

I made myself late for work this morning by taking photos of my UFO's only to discover that the lead for downloading is nowhere to be found - and of course it's the fairies that have borrowed it (according to my lot).

bookaddict - I had a bit of a disaster last night as I discovered I had miscounted so ended up redoing the same bit. If I can find the camera lead tonight I'll put a picture on. I'm finding the 3 threads a bit easier now although I'm not sure it looks as neat as using 2 threads - but we'll see. It would be great to finish by end of January and as I have 2 weeks off at Christmas it's certainly possible for me.

Well still haven't sorted out the camera lead - tomorrow's task - but have spent a few hours sewing tonight. Unfortunately you can hardly see any progress cos I'm sewing the final few cream and white parts of a vase of flowers. WIll definitely have to put a piccie on here soon.

I'm still not happy with it. I think it looks like an explosion at a paint factory!! I know these things take time, so fingers crossed by next week I'll be happier with it!

Thanks guys, i'm doing some of the blue background now, just makes it seem like i do more each time. When doing the lions there is so much colour swapping that it feels like i only manage a few stitches :rotfl:

bookadict, i like your fishes nice and colourful, i hope you start being happy about it, nothing worse than doing something you hate.
