I'm taking it to the framers today, will probably spend an age in the shop deciding on the mount and frame. I'll post a picture when I pick it up.

I've now started a new project - the feel of new aida between the hands yummy! I'm doing Dimensions, The Gold Collection Underwater Paradise. I would post a link to the chart, but I don't want to tempt people down the wicked path of increasing their ufo pile!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Ok, here's a link to my next project http://www.amazon.com/Underwater-Paradise-Counted-Cross-Stitch/dp/B000BFVIQY

I've done half the angel fish and two thirds of the fish above it. This will certainly my mind off of those Chrismtas chocolates sat in my cupboard!!:rotfl:

Once it's finished and framed, it will either go behind the fish tank (OH idea) or in the hallway.

    Keep up the good work.

  • Hi all,

I thought I'd share my progress so far with the fishes. http://www.flickr.com/photos/37561643@N02/4122082674/

It's a bizzare one, as it's three strands for cross stitch and then four strands for half stitch. I just hope I've got enough threads to complete it.

The weather is awful, so a perfect excuse to sit on the sofa and over indugle in some stitching. Plus concentrating on this will stop me filliing my face!

Chicky we're fine we live nr Whitehaven, so not really affected by the actual floods, just the phone/internet being down was a pain (run an online business) and a few closed roads. I do know someone who owns a shop in Cockermouth which is now ruined :( Yesterday was dry and quite sunny, but today the gales and rain are back. I hope they don't get flooded again.

bookadict, nice update but the fish look like toucans atm (no offense intended), i love how a design comes together :)

Will post an update later today, the lion is visible but not fully complete :rotfl:

No offense taken at all. It does look as though a toddler's had a go at finger painting on my aida.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I'm hoping that doing backstitch as I go along will help bring it to life.

I do need some help though, I somehow managed to get chocolate on the aida. What's the best way to get it out?

NMM, your lions are looking amazing.

My attempt at saying hello from over here.

Greetings from Georgia, USA. Made it over here in one piece including the baby stich thingy - which all have loved so far. Have started my holiday project (see other forum for pics). Can't see pictures very well due to picture settings on my father in laws computer. Found out Walmart now don't do any cross stitch. Going to some other shops soon but don't want to be too tempted.

Can't sleep nearly 7am here, so think I will get up and do some cross stitch. Hope all is well with you in your part of the world.

    Kind wishes

    sweetcarer ;)
