Blimey, I had to go back to page 42 to find my past update lol. I have been making cards and Christmassy stuff lately

It doesn't look like I have done much, I have been doing all the pages with the edge pieces of the pattern. It makes me feel as though I have completed more when I can chuck loads of pages away (lol) and it gives an idea of the size of the design and shows me just how much I have left to do

    Here's my fishy update http://www.flickr.com/photos/37561643@N02/4143546874/?rotated=1&cb=1259493310890.

I'm still not happy with it. I think it looks like an explosion at a paint factory!! I know these things take time, so fingers crossed by next week I'll be happier with it!

    NMM I'm loving hte lions.

I think it's looking fab. I'm going to buy another camera lead so that I can post my pictures - I think that will help motivate me a bit more. I must admit that I'm not enjoying this one as much as others that I've done. I'm going to start another one for my granddaughters christmas so I won't be doing as much of the fishes.

nmm - I love the lions. Have you thought of getting a Pako Needle organiser? http://www.sewandso.co.uk/ran573-0.html I have one and I find it really useful when there are lots of colour changes as you can thread up needles ready for switching colour.

Louise - that is fantastic. How big is the design going to be when it's finished?

Anyway must get some work done. Have a nice day everyone.

  • Thank you soo much for your kind/motivational comments about my fishy cross stitch. I've had another look at the picture and you're right it is slowly but surely taking shape!

I've got to agree with Lelc it's hard to get motivatd over this design, as the majority of it is half stitch.

Louise your work is looking fantastic. I don't envy you doing a H&E design.

On a lighter note, I should be picking up The Holiday Train at the weekend - fingers crossed!

Louise; That is lovely. I wouldnt want the baby to play with it, its so gorgeous ;) And that is one big project your doing with the lady on the bank.

Nmm; The Lion design is coming along a pace and will look fantastic when its finished. All the UFO has inspired me to get out my large x stitch of jug and flowers and go the last length to get it finished. I have already got a frame picked up in a charity shop 2 years ago:o

It's 400x300 stitches, that works out at 28.5inches wide and 21.4 inches high - the biggest project I have ever attmpted.

Wow - that is big. I'm really looking forward to seeing the completed project.

I've just started this one for my granddaughter - here (hope that link works). I did the "lee" and most of the "p" last night so I'm hoping to have this completed by Sunday - then it'll be back to the fishes.
