    Hi all,

Great to catch up with you all.

That bookmark Ruth Honey, has given me an idea for something I wanted to make an online pal. Yours turned out lovely.

Exceptionally close to finishing my linen sampler.

At my craft club today one of the members had finished a fantastic picture and starting another. They are not blackwork in the conventional sense but backstitch done in black, and a few blocks of colour in cross stitch. Lovely landscapes. I've got to have a go, it looks easy.

    Any of you tried this?

Thanks Angela! She didn't open her presents at the party, so no idea if she likes it yet. I thought it was pretty, though.

Doesn't sound like anything I have done, but it does sound interesting. Any idea of where I can see a pic of an example online?

No update for me. Haven't done any stitching all week. :(
I did get a Thank You card for the butterfly bookmark this morning, which was nice.
Need to book my ticket for the stitching show at Ally Pally soon. Anyone else going? I'm going on Thurs Oct 8th as I'm away from the Friday til Monday.

  • Hi Folks

Now finished letter M - morning glory, also the halfway mark.

Sorry didn't post yesterday - feeling ill, sneezing, head sore, etc. Back off to bed in abit today as I still don't feel 100%. Typical when I have the day off work tomorrow - was hoping to do stuff. On the back burner again. Hope all is well in your part of the world.

    Kind wishes

    sweetcarer ;)
