I have been *slogging* through this Heliotrope Fairy, I am very slowly getting there, but still loads to do!:

    Morning all

Well here is this weeks update :D
    last week:-
    forest5sep.th.jpg
    and this weeks:-
    forest12sept.th.jpg
Its difficult to get a good pic-but at least you can see what it is now :p
Its really strange -up close the colours are quite bizarre ...the left of her hair for example is all bright oranges, apricot, peaches -I kept thinking it was wrong -but once its all in place it looks really good :T
Its an awful lot of 1 of this and 1 of that -so progress is slower, mind I have had 2 days where I have been off colour so didn't do any

My gold thread arrived yesterday (for finishing off celtic summer) but I have decided to save that as Im off in hospital on the 5th October -so thought I would take that with me to finish ;) I have up to 1 week pre op in there and at least 2 weeks post op -so I will need something to stop me climbing the walls -but don't know as I will be up to doing the forest light as its neurosurgery Im in for so I think it will take to much concentration :o -although I will leave it all packed up so if I feel up to it hubby can bring it me in :p
Im planning on getting plenty done this week as hubby is away from Tuesday morning until late friday night -so I will be on my own, and living on fruit, jacket potatoes, (and anything else that takes no effort)
Anyway enough waffle -I hope everyone is getting plenty of time to sew..

Not as much done as I have been doing a wedding one since Thursday. Found out I have run out of one colour so have to do a wee alteration and the cards I ordered to insert it in haven't arrived in time (have to take it to work Monday - boss back). Hope to get it done tonight - so will post a picture later - been away today at a funeral.

Kind wishes to all, happy stitching.

Looks like everyone has been working away :T

Sayaka - that fairy is beautiful, I love all those purple shades.

MRSM - what a difference a week makes, she doesn't look sunburned at all now, it just shows how all the colours come together to produce a lovely result.

Sweetcarer - really coming along now, to think what it was like when you re-started it, it's looking brill :D

nmm - that is going to be so striking, I can see all thsoe sandy colours driving you mad over the next few weeks though. How big is the pic going to be when it's completed?

Well I have finished my bosses wedding sampler - found a frame so will frame it up later. Disappointed the one I ordered didn't come in time - bad feedback time - was ordered over 10 days ago.

    Here it is folks

Sam - congrats on your engagement - I wonder what you will give as a gift to your other half :p

MrsM - hope all goes well in neuro - late hubby has neuro surgery in Germany and it was very efficent.

Ruth - get well soon girl.

Louise - you are coming on leaps and bounds with it.

nmm - you can see it coming alive.

    Everyone else - keep stitching.

    kind wishes to all

Sweetcarer, the wedding sampler is lovely i'm sure your boss will love it. Also your floral alphabet is coming on well, it'll look fab when completed.

Louise, the one you're doing is huge, but it's coming along great, i hope you have a frame big enough :rotfl: Mine measures 42cm x 68cm when completed.

Buy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning
