Looks like its the week for mistakes, i noticed i had done 4 stitches in the wrong colour, i was going to leave it but i had that annoying niggle so i preceeded to unpick 50 odd stitches to fix the problem. All better now :rotfl:

I've found a couple of completed pictures I've done, that unfortunately now don't fit in my house anywhere and I've not got anyone to give them to as a pressie either. So I'm thinking of selling them on t'internet via Folksy or MISI. All I can think of is to frame them as a picture, just wondered if you guys might be able to come up with more imaginative uses for them?

Buy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning
  • I've finished the bookmark for DH's aunt! :j:j:j Just as well as her birthday party is tomorrow! Finished most of the stitching last week, so this week has been the backstitching and finishing off. Was hoping the iron on vilene I had would bond the felt to the back of the bookmark, but it didn't, so just spent the past hour stitching it on. I chose to use cream thread for this so it wouldn't show up on the front, but you can see it on the back. It looks a little bit messy, but not too bad for the 'untrained' eye!
I now have no excuses and next week, it's back to the huge 'Crisp Afternoon' trees for mum. And maybe start the Meg & Mog halloween one after doing 2 days of hard graft on the biggie. As a reward...:T

Ruth - that is a lovely bookmark. Well done on finishing it, and I'm sure it'll encourage you to get on with your mum's one.

I've got a day of backing and cross stitching lined up today, DH is on the allotment with my mum and probly won't be back till lunchtime at the earliest. And we can't afford to go anywhere this weekend so he can't wisk me off somewhere like he usually does when I've made plans.

Hope everyone else is getting on ok with their UFO's.
