I have nearly finished Poppyfield Lane which I started in 2003
http://www.needlecraftkits.co.uk/Poppyfield_Lane.htm
I then have Celtic Summer which I bought in 2004 to start
Celtic Autumn and Celtic Spring which I bought last year
That should tide me over for the time being:rotfl:0 -
MRSMCAWBER-Spring, Summer, Autumn & Noel??? That does seem daft! I don't blame you for leaving the border off so they look better.
The Dolly Mamas kits are fun to stitch. I love the sayings and how sarcastic they can be. I have 2 left in my stash to stitch. 'Bring the coffee and nobody gets hurt' and 'Domestically challenged'.
Your Mum's In Her Garden looks totally stunning! :T I bet she'll LOVE it!
*Louise*-Loved that you shoved the ironing in the other room & got on with your stitching! :T I admit the only thing I iron now is my stitching before I frame it. I couldn't even tell you what colour my ironing board is. I do what MrsMcawber does and I hang everything up after washing so it doesn't need ironing. Life's too short to spend it ironing.
Sweetcarer-I'll ask my Mum to check her book for you. By Googling, I found these stores:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&rlz=1T4DKUK_en-GBGB288GB288&resnum=0&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=cross+stitch+shop+cleveland+tennessee&fb=1&split=1&gl=uk&view=text&ei=a_KgSqHjFs6NjAfQ4LiYDg&sa=X&oi=local_group&ct=more-results&resnum=1
I'm not sure if they're any good, but maybe your inlaws can call them and see if it's worth you visiting?
I think both Michael and Joanns have a store locater on their website so you could enter your inlaws zip (!) code and see how far away they are.
The last 2 times we've been to the USA has been in November. The weather is better then, as it's not too hot for me, plus you get some halloween bargains in the shops, and the christmas stock is already in too! :xmassmile Hoping to go to San Francisco again next year.
BTW-Is there anyone going to the stitching show at Ally Pally next month?Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Afternoon all
Well -I have been a very good person today :A-I have labled up a couple of flip photo albums and put all the threads from mums kit into their pockets (they are dimensions -so I will keep them seperate)....so thats all packed away nice n tidy
Then I wrote the symbols and numbers for my next project onto pieces of paper and attatched to each bank bag.....thennnn I have had to go through all my threads (including the 200 delivered the other day ) and find the right threads -so now I just need to take all the spares and the file up into the drawers in the spare room and then Im all set to start my newbie :j
I swear it has taken me the best part of today just to get organised -although now I can just crack on with the good bit....sewing-I have to be organised
and after much input on hereI have decided to tackle the "forest light" one :j...hubby took it to work today and ran 3 copies off for me (so I can cut the chart into bits)
Ruth Honey -they have since produced a "celtic winter" so i will be doing that too-
Mum is an avid x-stitcher too -so she will appretiate how much time they take -I was going to do this one for her for next year to go with it :-
http://www.123stitch.com/cgi-perl/itemdetail.pl?item=K3868
But after al that detailing -I will be getting her the kit to do herself :rotfl:
Tiger -so sorry to hear about your uncle... Im another one who x-stitches her woes away.. I lost my lovely sister last year -x-stitching just about kept me sane

MrsM, congrats on completing it, i'm sure your mum will love it
Tiger, i buy cheap frames from wilko too, actually i was just online last night looking for a frame for the lions once finished and they only had a clip frame big enough. I'm hoping they have more choice when i have finished it. I found a seller on ebay who makes frames but they were about £30 delivered, good for odd sizes i guess.
Off to carry on stitching, i finshed the sky that i was doing last week and now adding the lioness's head, i want to see what it looks like :rotfl: So hopefully you'll see it in the update tomorrowCross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:...luckily -just as I was coming off the PC -hubby declared he was ready for tea -and please could we have ham salad sandwiches? :T -I made bread yesterday -so that was a nice easy tea...
It still took me ages to finish getting sorted -the symbols on the chart are very odd -and as its lots of odd stitches and 90 threads to choose from I decided to bundle the bank bags up -so all the ones with letters are clipped together, the number symbols are together and so on -took a while to do -but its making it much easier now :T ....
right Im back off to get some done
