Welcome! Great to have more people in our UFO club.

How about the Bothy Threads Dictionary of... range? http://www.sewandso.co.uk/ran2756-0.html

(ooh, they've added another one! Dictionary of Robins...must resist!)

I saw that one too Ruth_Honey, I will resist the temptation to purchase - but for how long?

3 days? ;) I might have to buy the cards instead. Phoenix trading do some of the designs, so that might help with the craving to buy.

^^^MRSM - I think you should do 'forest light' first.

Reason being, it's probably going to be the quickest one to do, then you can get it done and onto the next one :D

Plus, I'm dying to see what it looks like :p

The heaven and earth designs look fantastic, but it's usually the artwork that you see pictured on the sites, I would prefer to see what the final stiched piece looks like.

There's supposed to be some french knots on the green thingy round her neck, but when I tried adding beads, it didn't look right, so decided to leave them off completely. I need to cut the wooden bell pull down slightly too. It looks a bit too wide for me. Actually, I might see if Sew & So has anything Christmassy that would suit...:T

I have my orange aida now, so might start Meg & Mog next. Only because I'd like it finished to display for Halloween. ;)

Well done!!! :T Looking forward to seeing the pic tomorrow. I think you should stitch Celtic Noel next. Only because it'll get you in a Christmassy mood! :D Actually, I have seen this one mounted and framed up perfectly and it looks stunning. It was at a show and she used a dark green mount with a gold celtic knot on the mount. I was almost tempted to buy the chart, but I know I'd never finish it.

Thanks for the comments about my Grandma. She's doing better today and can walk with a zimmer frame (which I can bet she HATES!), so needs physio and hopefully can come home next week.

ooohhh Great minds think alike :rotfl:
I had intended to do the golden earth woman - but I think it will take quite a while... and I KNOW the garnet is going to be a long job -51 pages of chart will see to that
So YES -I think forest light should be the one (or celtic noel:p) -I don't mind being a guinea pig to see if they are as good as the art work ;):rotfl:

Ruth Honey -I do the celtic ladies without the border -when they first came out the were spring, summer, autumn and NOEL  -so I had a bee in my bonnet as it didn't say winter :p-and then I decided the borders were far to fussy for me . You would be amazed how quickly they sew ;)-they look a lot more difficult than they are:D
Im loving the dolly mamas kits -ts strange because they are not my knid of thing really -but they really catch my eye :o

Guess I will be getting my bank bags labled and threads sorted ready for my next project tomorow -but IM NOT allowed to start it until I get the gold for my celtic lady and finish her off (well -depending how long it takes to come ;))

Thanks for the tip on the 30p DMC, I have just ordered 13 skeins for £5.50 ()

It's a bit of an amateur looking website, so hopefully it will arrive safely! :D

It came safely! Hooray! Will definitely be using them again!

I have spent the past 4 hours stitching, I just can't easily put it down just now

I was supposed to be tackling the ironing pile tonight, it was sitting there looking at me, making me feel all guilty........

....so I shoved it in the other room and carried on stitching :D:D:D

    Morning all

    *Louise* :rotfl:
I love this house -it has a 3 roomed basement (the ironing is down there)...I can't see it ...means it doesn't exist :D....mind I have a confession -the only thing that is ironed every time in this house is hubbies uniform -and he does that (takes him ages :p) ...... most of my stuff and his casual stuff doesn't need ironing if I hang it to dry properly :j
well here is the photo of mums finished pressy...just need to get on camp to order a frame and mounts and -so until then I will put it flat in a pillow case in the spare room -then I can give it a final check over and press and get it done :T
as always you will need to click it to get a good pic :p

    inhercomplete.th.jpg
Im sure that when I come to frame it I will see something that needs adjusting -but if I never see another pattern with "cording" and "couching" on I will be happy :D
Right off for a cuppa and to get my new threads sorted :j
    have a great day everyone:D
