    Hi all,

I've never done couching either, I didn't realise you did it on cross stitch.

ocemeer - Here are some ideas for you - things I've made -

    1. Lavender sachets to hang on clothes hangers.. I made square ones, stitched in pink with added silver sequins, and made a braided loop for hanging, very girly. .
    2. I also used ready made ones to keep inside bags of wool to keep it from going musty.
    3. Sachets put inside shoes to freshen them up.

There is also a tablecloth on my ufo list - unstarted so far. Is yours large? I think mine isn't that big, it's been years since I even looked at it!

Angela - my Tablecloth is a womans weekly one from the 1940s (it was a wedding present to my gran - which she never started) so pretty old. I have done the napkins for her just got to do the table cloth (just measured it its about 600mm x 600mm alot bigger than I remember) in time for Christmas I hope.
I love lavender adn will use the bags myself in my wwardrobe and locker at work as the bags are really pretty. Really want to clear my UFOs so I can justify getting some of the heritage floral patterns. (have a stunning embroidered floral panel I found in a charity shop - one day my stitching will be accomplished enough to make a matching pair)

    Morning all

Ocemeer -You could make little bath soaks ....
get a square of muslin -put some dried milk powder in the middle and some crumbled dried lavender, then gather the edges and twist so that its in the middle -us one of those tiny elastic bands to secure and then a pretty ribbon over the top -with a long enough loop to go over the bath tap....and then pop them into a nice little x-stitched bag
Then they just hang them over the tap when they are running the bath -the milk is good for softening skin and the lavender will relax.. you could do rosemary, thyme or all sorts
Not sure if that description makes sense :rotfl: -
Im planning on geting some bits n bobs done -I was planning on getting some knitting done -but that may be put on hold whilst I get the x-stitching done ;)-well I prefer it :p

Well done Louise - that was a good one to get finished, looks great too!
What are you going to do with it now? I've just finished "The Princess" and I am SO fed up with backstitch, I cant tell you! Just need to get a nice girly frame for it. Photos will follow some time soon LOL!
I've started my autumn cushion cover from this month's Cross Stitcher, I really love the design and the colours. Im planning to do the other seasons too.

Just when I said I wasnt doing any more kits - I looked at Sew and So today and saw the Dictionary of Boots - its fab, but no I will NOT buy!

Mrs M - can see a huge difference on your lady - you need to give her a name - I feel I know her!

    Have a great day everyone

I have no idea..... :oI only done it cos I liked the challenge. I'm going to look on Picturelizard for a mount and frame, then put it together myself. I might put it in my daughters room for now - that's pink lol.

Hubby is going to paint the hall and stairs sometime soon, might just go for a cream colour and use the stairwell as my gallery - just chuck everything up, there's a lot of framed pictures in the loft doing nothing.

My Cross Stitcher mag cam through the door the other day - it's still sealed, I'm feared to look in case I find something I 'must' do....:o :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Might have to have a wee peek to see what your cushion is like....

    Evening all

Louise -wimblebees do some of the heaven and earth charts..
There are some stunners, they would be a real labour of love -but Im in love with quite a few :p
A lot of them are worked on 25 count -over 1 stitch  -I would swap and do 28 count over 2 threads :p
here are 3 (if they work) that I love -the last one I would like to do for my niece -she is 18 and looks very similar to the girl -and always has her nose in a book:D
