Bad bad Mrs Mc - you are v naughty tempting us!
She's lovely - the cameo might be the answer! Im going to practice some small things on evenweave first - as you know I've never used it, mainly cos I find it hard to see the holes, even with my specs. 18ct Aida can be a challenge for me!
Im sticking with what Im doing at the mo - I WILL NOT SUCCUMB!!!!

oooohhhh I hope I'm not going to be drummed out of the UFO club for leading everyone astray:p
They have just emailed me again to let me know that they deliver to BFPO addresses (a lot of companies don't have their systems set to accept bfpo numbers) -so Im very :j right now..but I just can't settle on which "1" I want most :o
In my defence ;) I I won't start it until I have cleared my UFOs ....famous last words :rotfl:
jinty -If you are working on evenweave and find it hard to see the holes it helps to put a dark cloth on your knee -unless you are working on dark fabric -then you want a bright cloth -it really helps :D-even my hubby mastered even weave...ooohhh and some of them are lovely and soft n drapey to work on.

ahhhh well , now then , ermmm -you see it was like this..... I "might" have just ordered something(s) from sewalong

    I eventually settled on :-
this one as a "smaller" dummy run -
    http://www.sewalong.co.uk/productfull.asp?sel1=(HAE)QS4S

    followed by this one

    http://www.sewalong.co.uk/productfull.asp?sel1=(HAE)RA29S

I will be doing it on 28ct even weave using 2 strands over 2 threads so they will end up bigger too :D the top one will be about 11"x14" and the biger one 29"X42"..
I can't imagine using 25ct and sewing over 1 thread
Right I will stop drooling over the PC and go an get on with some sewing *must get these UFOs done quickly now*:rotfl:

    MRSM - WOW

they look so detailed, beautiful designs, I love the first one, although it is listed as 'Quick stitch'...I can't see it being all that quick!!:D Please post some pics when you start doing it, I'm tempted by that one myself.

PS: I knew you wouldn't be able to buy 'just one thing' ;)

:pwell it would have been rude wouldn't it :rotfl:..I ordered a piece of fabric for doing the 1st one -but the 2nd one will need a piece at least 34"X47" as I like 3" left on each side for when I frame it...so Im probably going to have to buy a metre piece and cut it...

Jinty.... thats my reasoning too -I don't drink, smoke, stopped wasting money on magazines (haven't had any for 7 months :T) and have saved about €4000 from the housekeeping -so this is my main hobby and I have just spoilt myself :D..

I have to get mums lady finished, and my celtic lady and then I can think about starting the smaller one:p
Louise I always try and work from copies of charts -as I cut them into chunks so I don't have to fold them as the symbols then vanish on the creases -so "if" I can get my printer working I "may" be able to help you with the 1st chart if you know what I mean ;)...if not then I will sent hubby to work with it to copy for me :rotfl:
Im also going to think about adding beading to mine too -wel i like to be different:p

I too never work from the original chart even if I don't intend ever stitching the same picture again, someone else might want it and I can pass it on. I photocopy the chart then mark off blocks of stitches with a pencil once stitched.

MRSMC.....I love the second one you linked to, she would go well in our bedroom too, maybe along side the Queen of hearts :D
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

    That's a VERY good idea :D:j

I should really start doing that with mine in case something should happen to the original - but I never get round to it :o
