I'm back from my various holidays and wanted to say hello to you all. Well done to those who have finished some UFO's!:j I haven't been able to work on mine since the start of the month. I've been away on 3 mini holidays, and it's too big to cart around with me. Went to Centre Parcs in Thetford, then to Gloucester to see my family, then today we've just returned from a few days away in Edinburgh-was thinking of you, jintyb!:D
Have had a great time, but I'm glad to be home for a while now. 3 holidays and 3 theatre trips in a month is tiring! I'm looking forward to doing some stitching this weekend and taking things easy.

Ooooh, good news-will repeat this in the other stitching thread, but I've noticed that Tescos now have Cross Stitcher magazine on subscription wth the clubcard deals. :T I emailed them asking them if they could get any stitching mags a few months ago, so I'm thrilled that they'd done this. Roll on next month when my vouchers come through and I can subscribe again....:D:D:D

    inher25july.th.jpg
Im nearly on the bottom edge :j -I'm hoping to get the bottom corner finished today and then that just leaves the other side...it's slightly narrower than the left -so thats some encouragment:D..Im not going so fast so I can clear the back log and start a new one -honest ....
Its been awful weather all week -swinging from read hot 1 minute to thunder storms the next -so if ever I needed an excuse to stay indoors -that is it ;)

    Hi Jinty

I use a hoop for all my patterns -I "did" have the mother of all stands -the one with the light, pattern holder, magnifier attatched -it was a dream to work on -then we had new sofas and had 2 big leather things that recline -I saw that the floor clearance was good so thought I would be fine -never thought about the fact that the sofa is has a metal frame underneath -so the stands feet wouldn't go under -so Im back to a hoop -and my mum is using the stand -she loves it -so I don't mind.

I find hoops easier than the frames -I find some of them quite big and unweildy to hold on to -when Im working on the bigger pics I use those "bulldog" clips you use to close food bags up with to clip all the extra fabric up -but Im not sure what I will have to do with the big heaven and earth patterns :rotfl:
ooohhhh "on that subject" -Im about to be naughty AGAIN -so close your eyes if your are being good ;)
    Wimblebees
    http://www.wimblebees.com/

Click on the sunshine icon and look at their sale stuff -if you enter the code given -7532 you get a decent amount taken off the things in the sale... they have a few heaven and earth designs....ones I was interested in when I first started looking at them all :Tso I might have ordered
the flower bride, snow faery, winter faery and "the crystal ball" -on pages 2+ 3 of the sale
The H+E ones worked out at £5.39 :T..ok they will have to go away and will take yonks for me to get round to... but they were a bargain :p

    Right -back to mums x-stitch
have a great day everyone :D

The weather wasn't the best, but we had a good time anyway. The day we got soaked we were on a boat trip from Newhaven anyway, so it didn't matter too much. Thursday was the best day, which worked well as we went to the zoo. Didn't think to ask you if there's any stitch shops to visit in the town, but we didn't really get time to go to any shops, except Lush because I forgot to pack shampoo & conditioner.

Am not looking at any of those links as I have no willpower and I don't need the temptation! :D
