Ocemeer, what are you going to do with your lavender bags? Your post reminded me that I was going to dry some flowers.

    Mrs Micawber - that's a beautiful design.

Louise, you are daring to take on such a design which looks far too complicated for me to ever consider. It's lovely.

Shelly, well done on your finish

Book addict, thanks for the explanation. What an thoughtful present for your Dad.

Sunday I did some more work on the sampler. How are you all doing?.

Everyone's doing really well on their projects, brilliant to see all the progress.

Louise - I've just started "The Princess Sleeps Here" for my nieice - did you "couch" the border as it says in the instructions and how did you manage with the opal ribbon? Is it easy to work with? It looks a bit of a footer ( Scots word!). Well done on those flamingoes - OMG - it looks SO complicated!

Mrs M - the progress is stunning, I love seeing the picture unfolding each time you post!

Did I heck:rotfl: - I hate couching, I always mess up the tension, I just used 2 strands and done backstitch over 2 squares. Nobody's gonna know............

The opal ribbon was a first for me, I thought I was going to be constantly untwisting it, but it was fine and gets squished up so much anyway you can't tell it was ribbon lol.

....and...my flamingos are nearly finished!!!! The end is in sight lol. Couple of days hard graft and I should be done :D

Och I no, mind you I near stabbed myself with the needle when John Barrowman's bum appeared on screen, so maybe for the best :rotfl:

Plenty episodes of C.S.I. on to keep me going for the next day or two. :D

My ironing pile is seriously neglected due to this, but shhhhhh :rotfl:

Hee, hee, I enjoyed John Barrowman's bum too - what a waste of a man!
I'm being very virtuous and have been sorting out my threads and finally putting them onto bobbins and into my shiny new storage box - should we have a thread called UTN - Unidentifiable Thread Numbers! I was given a pile of skeins some are Anchor/ DMC with numbers which is fine, the rest are from the barras I think - no brand names. I think I'll just use them for cards etc as the colours on the shade card are hard to match too!

Have a great day everyone !

but it will have to wait until I have cleared some more UFOs :A

I can't believe one of you haven't done "couching" -I have some to do on this one and I was hoping to pick brains :p-guess I will have to be the guineapig :rotfl:
I seem to have my x-stitch mojo back on a grand scale -I only put it down for essentials like loo breaks -cuppa making (when hubby isn't in to do it for me :p) and for making meals.... I have a real problem puting it down -hope it lasts ;)
Right -better get back and get some more done :j
oh and the torchwood 5 part series is coming onto our BFBS channel soon -so I can watch captain jack again if I want to  -although I prefer david tennant

^^Oh, it's really coming along, the flowers are looking great :)

It's nice when the X-Stitch mojo hits, I wish I had more time in the day to do it, but most of mine is done when my 3 kids are in bed. Then hubby makes my cuppa. :D

...good luck with that couching!! :p;)

Angela - I don't know what I will do with the lavender bags, they may go in the Xmas hampers (but my oldies got them last year - I bought about 8 hideously cheap from eBay). Ideas welcome. Getting my parents to dry all their lavender this year as want to make lavender heat pillows (maybe with some embroidery on - my creative skills are good at doing not so hot at imagining though).
well half way through the next lavender bag but want to do a big project for August - the dreaded tablecloth calls.
