I think the background is nearly 1/6th done ....so Im getting there and it gives me 6 months to get the rest done -which should be easy enough :rotfl:

Louise -that flamingo pic is enough to make you go cross eyed :rotfl:-have you sewn a grid onto the fabric to follow? my mum used to do that and fill one square at a time ;)

I have, you can probably just make out the grid on the right had side of the picture. I never bothered it when I done the first half, but it has really made my life easier and I'm not going cross eyed as much now lol :rotfl:

Your picture is fairly coming along, good luck with the 6 month deadline!!!:D

MRSMCAWBER; this is lovely. You must find changing colours frequently frustrating?

thank you for your compliment about the holiday train, I do hope my dad likes it. I'll post more pics later of my progress

Well done everyone on your progress! I am ashamed to say I have not looked at the wretched bookmarks yet. I am doing little Japanese dolls from this month's Xstitcher magazine. Im making cards for my teenage nieces' birthdays. I needed a change from all the creams and browns of the mini daisies. My resolution is not to start anything till Ive finished, and not to buy anything I dont really love. Im guilty of buying indiscriminately!

Louise - those flamingoes are great - but so challenging to say the least - good for you!

Mrs M - loads of progress there, I can see a huge difference

Have a great day everyone x

Louise ....another one out of the way..... its a brilliant feeling isn't it :D

Jinty -Im with you on the not buying anything unless i truely love it -I tend to like more expensive ones, but if its one Im going to finish and still love it works out more MSE than buying lots of things because they were a good price, only to decide I don't like them ;)

I have a couple of floral ones that I loved and hubby got me for anniversaries instead of real flowers..well they cost about the bloomin same and last much longer :rotfl:... but I WON'T start one until I have cleared these bloomin UFOs out of the way ......well apart from the hawk Im doing for hubby as it is huge and all shades of grey -so when I get to that one I will be doing a pretty one at the same time to save me climbing the wall :p

Found links..these are the 2 hubby got me

Tht's a lovely idea to buy X-Stitch flowers instead of real ones - they do last so much longer (when they're done lol)

I don't have the patience to do big flowery designs, will stick to mini ones :)

    Hi all,

Love the pics and the updates.

I only did about a dozen stitches yesterday on my sampler, but at least it was something.
