Mrs M - those roses are fabulous! Sorry, I did realise the links to sew and so didnt work. Still trying to master posting a photo - Im a numpty when it comes to stuff like that!

Ruth-honey - well done for tackling that - I feel your pain! LOL! What a fiddle but beautiful results!
Louise - Im sorely tempted by the mermaids, had a look on sew and sew - so many lovely mermaids/angels, Ive never attempted a Mirablilia design before as I thought they were rather too complicated, but maybe I should challenge myself!

Have a great day everyone - work for me so no sewing - boo!

    Hi all,

I think it's really nice to look at each other's progress, it feels supportive. I've finished a number of UFO's recently (on a Sunday the day I always do them) and now left with -

    1. linen Victorian looking sampler, with crinoline lady, posh gent, big tree, words in the middle and a nice edging design - currently working on this. Left to do - some edging and the couple's heads.

    2. mat - lillies - the type you cut round after you finish

    3. scratchboard picture- 2nd of matching pair

I think these projects have been on to go for about 10 years

    4. doing something with a finished flower
  • Argh I spent ages yesterday doing all the white on my design but I did it wrong so I had to unpick it - I'd put the middle in the wrong place. Grrr

Oooohhhh NOW I have had a nosey...
    Thats very pretty LOUISE :T
Did you look at how much it was to buy all the materials for it? £75.65 ..me thinks you would have to hide that invoice from hubby :rotfl:-the fabric it is worked on is gorgeous too...
The celtic ladies work out mor expensive to buy the materials and chart seperate, than buying the "kit" -but you get lots of threads left to carry over to another one -so hopefully the mermaid will be the same ;)

Blimey, if I had spent that I wouldn't be here to post again tomorrow :rotfl: I just got the chart and the fabric, so £30, I have all the threads I need for it already.

Whenever my mum goes to america, there's a shop which does DMC threads for 10 or 20cents each in their sale, so every two years I get a huge supply of threads - keeps me going and saves a fortune.

Ha ha! I do that too! No doubt my mum will have a list for me if I go to America next year. :D

Think I might go and do some stitching. feeling a bit stressed out. Trying to get through my huge list of things to do before we go away on Friday, but the washing line just snapped and I'm too hot to be bothered with anything.

    Hi all,

I found a small UFO in my box last night and I'm pleased to confirm I've finished it! Yeah :j:j

I'm even going to attempt to frame it myself

    Keep up the stitching!
