I worked on it for most on Monday, then again for an hour or so this afternoon. Not much progress that I can see, even though my DH says you can tell!

Having a rough couple of days. Yesterday my friend's dad died, then today I find out one of my friend's died. She wasn't a close friend, but it still shocked me as she was only in her early 20s. What is wrong with the world at the moment??? Everyone seems to be losing someone. It's so sad.

I'm off to Centre Parcs for a few days tomorrow, so at least I can get away from things for a few nights.

Ruth Honey, your UFO is stunning, I love it.

Everyone has some great projects on the go, I feel that they put my All Our Yesterday ones to shame!

Don't be daft ;) All our Yesterdays designs are lovely, and look so sweet and nostalgic once they are completed.

Can you post some pics of the ones you are doing? :j

Thank you *louise*, I'll certainly post some pictures when I get home from work.

I did post a picture of the holiday train on the 'Any one into cross sitching' thread a wee while ago, but I'll atempt to load a more recent one on here later, alongside the other AOYD UFO's.

Progress is being made on the 'Flock of Flamingos':

    June2009069.jpg

I found another small UFO in the cupboard, It says 'The Princess sleeps here' was making it for my toddlers bedroom door - might move that to the top of the list so I can tick something off sooner. :D

http://www.flickr.com/photos/37561643@N02/3684272639/ this has the bloody backstitch to do.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/37561643@N02/3685084158/ - this is a UFO surprisingly, I need to do a few stitches on the doll.

bookadict - yup, the links work

A lot of yours look like they won't take too long to finish off, so not too daunting to tackle

I think the Holiday Train is great, and it will look stunning when it is completed :D

    Hi *louise*

Glad the links work, you're right most are a few stiches here or there and lots of dreaded backstitch!!!

The holiday train is a labour of love at the moment, as it';s lots of colour changes which would explain why I've started the half cross stitch. I'll be getting this framed proffessionally.

    Morning all

Thought I would do an update on my main UFO....

    Last time:-
lady16june.th.jpgI had to have those 3 days off to finish the angel one -so its not too bad as I have filled lots of gaps in :D and at least Im working on the top edge of the design :p
    Today:-
    inher4july.th.jpg
I think the background is nearly 1/6th done ....so Im getting there and it gives me 6 months to get the rest done -which should be easy enough :rotfl:
Ruth-honey -your autumnal pic looks soooo close to being finished :j-its gorgeous, my kind of colours too ....

Book-addict -your AOY pics are looking great , your dad with really cherrish that train pic :Tyou deserve an award for doing pics with lots of back stitch -its so annoying to do isn't it !!! I would rather have to blend threads or do fractional stitches than backstich ;), mind I have backstitch and "couching" to do on this one Im working on and I have nevver done couching before -so that could be fun :p

Louise -that flamingo pic is enough to make you go cross eyed :rotfl:-have you sewn a grid onto the fabric to follow? my mum used to do that and fill one square at a time ;)

Its been so hot here this week that I have had perfect excuse to sit on the sofa, in front of the fan and do nothing but x-stitch, and as its allready 84 degrees here -indoors, in the shade  it looks like I will be doing the same today :j
Right -better get on..have a great weekend everyone and hope you all get time to sew ;)
