I don't feel like I'm making any progress and I've been stitching for about 4 hours. Most of that time is spent finding the right colour and threading the needle!!! Grrr! Needed 5 mins break from it...

My "in her garden" is the same  1 of this and 2 of that -blending 2 threads with 1 thread and the like:rotfl:
This one...
Luckily no blending, and only whole stitches, but the confetti stitching is so annoying! I can't wait until I finish it.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Do you just use one needle and re-thread?
I did for ages, then a friend gave me a pako needle sorter, so I have quite a few needles threaded up ready, but I don't think there's enough holes to have every colour threaded (plus, I don't have a huge stash of needles!), so have been threading up the new colours as I need them. I should've bought one of these when I first started it. Would've been easier.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

My mum works right by the shop! Luckily the shop isn't as well stocked as the website. And it's more expensive.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Thats lovely -I love those colours ... your most of the way there and on the home stretch now :T
I must be a sad sack as I have one of those toblerone shaped needle holders -but find it quicker to use 1 needle and keep changing colour -mind, having each thread in its own bank bag labled speeds things up
I REALLY want that roses on black fabric -but Im being good :A-I don't like simple designs as I get bored...Im now back onto mums "in her garden" will post an update soon ..Im sure I have done more than it looks :rotfl:

I only do the figures as I think the boder makes them to crowded -and this way mine are different lol
Mrsmccawber..those are all lovely! and look like they take ages & need tons of patience! The last one on your list I think is the one I had in mind, definately need to finish the others first tho!
I clicked the links on the sew and so site..its probably just as well the pictures don't come up without registering!0 -

Those celtic ladies are beautiful to dothey flow really nicely ...if you do decide to do them whatever you do make sure you use "petite treasury braid" metalic thread -it's more expensive that a lot of others but it doesn't tangle half as much and its more visible

Thanks. My mum loves autumn trees, so this is perfect...just not to stitch! I've given up for tonight now. My poor DH was made to sit in the fold up chair as I took up all the sofa with the threads, charts, big frame and my figeting! I've been working on it since lunchtime and I can't see any difference from the photo I took. I might do a few more hours tomorrow before I take another photo.
That sounds like the needle holder I've got. It can hold quite a few threaded needles, but I think it looks messy, and when you pack away for the night, you have to put a pillowcase or something on it so the dust doesn't get on the threads. Don't know why I'm bothered-I'll be washing it before framing anyway. This is the only stitching I've used it for, and I don't think it saves that much time. I spend more time trying to find my place on the chart and matching it up with the holes on the aida! You should see the chart-I've coloured in all the squares I've stitched, and they're so worn that they might not last until I finish. Luckily I'm working from a copy, so I can always refer to the original if I need to.
Right, a quick go on my massage chair to ease my back, then off to bed!. Night all xxxCross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
