*Louise* well done on finishing one of your UFO's. You must be really pleased.

This weekend, I intend to buy some DMC threads that I need from my local sewing shop and then stay in and finish two of my UFO's. It might sound like a big ask, however two of them only need a few stitches and a small bit of back stitch.

I need a break from the Holiday Train, as it's starting to do my head in!

Yes! I like the Princess one too - in fact I succumbed to S&S sale and I bought it - its half price. However, in keeping with my resolution, see above, I will start it when it arrives. Its for my little niece who's rather poorly - six weeks in hospital and another four to go!

Yeah, I saw it in the sale when I was on the site the other day - that's what reminded me that I had it sitting in a cupboard somewhere  I had forgotten about it :D

    Hi all,

Love the pics and the updates.

I only did about a dozen stitches yesterday on my sampler, but at least it was something.

Every stitch is a stitch closer to completion :T

Lol...I should use that as my motto or something....:rotfl:

Thanks Louise, I always find that last part of a design is always agonised over. And when it's finished then it's left unframed for years  I think it's because I prefer browsing and drooling over patterns far more than stitching them.

Bookaddict, I must ask how is it you have so many designs on the go at once. I love AOY but wouldn't dare do more than one at a time. Yours look fantastic.

Angela in all honesty I think it's because I got frustrated with having to chop and change colours after several stitches.

I also use to suffer from insomnia really badly, so I use to do one of the kits and then put it away whilst half asleep and forget about it and then start another kit. I also use to buy them really cheap when I was down in Cornwall and you can't beat the feeling of starting a fresh kit!

I'm going to spend this weekend working on finishing Dolly's Stroll and Dovecoate.

I've got four months to finish 'The Holiday Train' but it's turning out to be really time consuimg as I've got to keep chopping and changing colours. The effort will be worth it to see the expression on my dad's face on Christmas Day!:T

Well done Louise, you're getting near the end now!

I have worked on Rubys' xmas present now for the last 2 days and have pretty much finished it! :T
Just a little bit of outlining to do though I'm not doing all the outlining the chart has marked because I like the look of it as it is.
Also I modified it once finished by adding a few more stitches to the outside edge of the hedgehog as I thought it looked a little odd to my eye.

Next thing is.....what to start next?

    Decisions, decisions :D
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
