Okay I've filed my claim online today for a total of £460.34 including £50 court fees. Just praying they don't respond withing the 14 days but knowing my luck they will as they have done on all of my correspondence so far. Watch this space.....

I got a letter from them today offering me a significant payment of the money owed (around £1500). If I hold out for another 2 weeks I can double my money. Maybe good things do come to those who wait? :D

Just realised I've been posting on an old thread,

    We are trying to claim back in excess of £5000 in total from;
    Barclays
    Alliance & Leicester
    First Direct
    Bank of Scotland
    HSBC

We also have credit card charges with,
    Capital One
    Alliance & Leicester
    American Express
    Barclaycard Platinum

So far first letter sent on 3rd April.

    American Express are refunding £15
Bank of Scotland have refunded £60

First Direct refute there is a problem
    All others are investigating.

I'm going to be sending second letter to First Direct on Monday but still have remainder of 14 days on all the others to wait.

it is not clear from your post but stick to your original time scale with First Direct. If you gave them 14 days to reply but replied sooner - still give to the end of the 14 days before going onto the next stage. Sorry if you are already doing this but as I said it was not clear. Good Luck :)

OOps a daisy thanks for that, I would have only given seven. I'll leave it until a week on Monday.

I dont want to sound like a moany old whingebag here, but can we direct questions and progress to the BAG website as well. there really isnt that much point in asking questions here, and I have seen quite a lot of advice given that is not accurate, and there are millions of threads on this all over the place on MSE.

YES- I accept I am a pedant!! But please, can everyone be aware that any litiagation should be listed there and any refunds etc.

That's a good point, they're definitely the experts at all of this but I still think it's nice to read up on how people are progressing :) OK, I admit, I just enjoy hearing stories of banks being screwed over by customers msn_devil.pngmsn_devil.pngmsn_devil.png

What happens if you try to reclaim charges from a bank that you are maxed out on a 4K overdraft with? Am frightened now as I have sent a letter to Royal Bank of Scotland regarding bank charges....what if they ask for OD back all at once coz i aint got it????

This was my previous post - does anyone know if RBS may ask for full payment of OD and if so what happend if im not in a position to pay off in full?

Dotty Anne, all these questions will be answered on the BAG forum. there is also a section on reversing CCjs & other stuff like that, and repairing your credit rating. Have a look over there & ask the question there
