  • The above mentioned website is frankly dodgy looking and amateur! I would bet money on it being someone trying to make money off someone elses back!

Have not been on for some time. Had some success with Bank Of Scotland and Monument Credit Card (Barclay's Bank).

I'm in Scotland and Small Claims are restricted to £750 per claim. That only means that if you want to claim more then £750 you may need to action more that one claim on the same account, maybe split into different time periods.

BOS - Raised a Small Claims summons for £287+8% interest + court costs (£39). BOS paid out in full 1 week before Sheriff Court return date. During the process BOS continued to add charges amounting to £117. Sent them two letters and they paid out without me having to raise another summons.

Monument Credit Card - After obtaining statements under the Data Protection Act I claimed them for £350. I had to raise an action in the small Claims Court as they were unwilling to make any refund based on my letters. Two days before the return date they phoned me and agreed to settle and I received the confirmation letter after about a week. At this point I cancelled th e summons by writing to the Sheriff Court. Several days later (a Sunday), I received a phone call to tell me my acc was £41 in arrears. I told them about the letter from the parent company stating that they (Monument) had confirmed the £350 payment. They said they had no record of this. I gave them what for down the phone and then hung up. Next thing I received a statement through that not only showed the £350 credited but an additional £193.11 credit effectively creating a Nil balance. Yes, they cleared the acc completely. Don't be worried by these people. Follow all the advice you find om this site and the consumer action group site. For Scots visit https://www.govanlc.com for advice in a scottish context.
