  • Hi guys

Still trying to get my head round all of this!

Has anyone reclaimed via Nationwide and if so what was the outcome?

I dont have all my statements but I have only banked with them for 3 years as I had to go to them when I left Lloyds TSB and went into dbet management - even though my Lloyds TSB account is now woth Debt Management can I reclaim charges there?

Also all of my Credit Cards are now in Debt Management but i know that alot of the money owed is in charges not just purchases.

Can i Write to them all and ask for the charges for late payments and interest etc to be dropped ?

it is my intention to remortgage and pay these off in full and final settlement so the lower i can get them the better - please help - worried and stressed - headache since saturday not improving!!!

I'm with Nationwide, and am in a DMP.

I think the general advice is to leave well alone if you have a DMP just in case they refuse the DMP and demand immediate payment, take you to court etc.

That's the way I understand it anyway

where did people find the address to send the initial letter to?

I sent my letter to HSBC 2 weeks ago - it was the letter with the £10 cheque requesting statements, the account has been closed a year (in protest of their charges) but I send them my old sort code and account number but have recieved no acknowledgement!.

I address the letter to "The Bank Manager" and sent it to the branch I held the account at. The cheque hasn't been cashed.

  • Hi guys,

Can someone confirm what bank charges can be claimed back, I've gone through my old bank statements and have found £125 worth of charges going back to 2003, these are £4 for Direct Debit Setups, £13 for Irregular account charges (going overdrawn), £4.50 for standing order creation and £4.50 for standing order amendment charges, can these be claimed from Ulster Bank (Northern Ireland branch of Natwest).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
