    Hi everyone

I've sent my 2nd stage letter, the one before action to nationwide, I sent it 30-03 and on 31-03 they refunded me £80 as a goodwill gesture, I'm ignoring it and waiting for the 13-04 to get started on legal proceedings. I have also sent dpa letters to abbey visa, morethan, and capital one.

Just wondered though can you claim charges for a closed account?!

    Goodluck everyone
    Cath

Quick update I have just received my second letter from Lloyds refusing in response to my letter before action which states:

"Unfortunately, I am unable to add any further information to my letter dated 22nd March 2006, although I do respect your opinion about our charges.

This letter is the banks final response, which means that if you remain dissatisfied you may now refer your complain to the Financial Ombudsman Service."

So I'm going to wait the fourteen days and put my court claim in. GULP!!! Will let you all know how i get on.
My mantra is "Never pay full price!" ;)

TBH I'm a bit sceptical about doing this with HSBC just incase they get the proper hump with me in the future about my account or needing to lend any more money even though it must be thousands I've paid due to being a numpty and going overdrawn :o

but it is money that they have taken unlawfully Craig. If a friend took you for thousands would you just let it pass and do nothing to just save the friendship ? The banks are relying on the power they have over you and use every underhand tactic in the book to stop you from having control over YOUR money. The Office of Fair Trading has passed a ruling today to stop these extortionate charges. The law is on your side.

Woo yay, RBS Have acknowleged my claim and have stated they intend to fully defend it! I'm so excited, it's a great excuse to get some new clothes for court and stuff. Maybe I should get some glasses? I don't need them but it'll look cool. It's going to be like Legally Blonde all over again :D

Dont buy anything yet! BAG website tells of loads of people whove had those sort of letters, a cheque arrives a few days later. Let the BAG know this Amosworks, they'll be chuffed i think
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Sssh! I know this, as I said it's just an excuse to go shopping

I am quite chuffed as I know a fat cheque is winging it's way to me now. I think I'll put off my (charity) shopping trip until after it arrives though :)
