now preparing my preliminary letter, can somebody please confirm that this section is ok as I don't want to bother with the interest...
"I calculate that you have taken a total of £2,111 and I enclose a schedule of the charges which I am claiming with this letter."
Many thanks

When?
To date, there has been one and only one case lost: X v Natwest. By all accounts, X was badly prepared, and Natwest tried the "service" approach. (the one where they say it's not a penalty, they are doing you a service by bouncing your payment and therefore can charge you what they want for that.) For reasons we fail to understand, the judge actually swallowed that, even though the term "cloaking the penalty charge" is actually a well known term in legal circle, and Mr X lost his case. Natwest were so aware how lucky they got on that one that they haven't tried it since and have paid up rather then go to court since.

Send everything recorded so there can be no doubt as to whether they received it or not!
Good luck

My mum is ready to send the letter to Capital One asking for her charges back roughly £1000.00 (just over)
Also received her statements from Halifax on Friday, 114 pages in 23 envelopes  so were just preparing a letter for them too. Claim is for £1362.
