  • Is anyone feeling like me, that time is going so slowly? Sent my initial letter for reclaiming last week. Now I feel like all the days are dragging knowing I've got another week, and then possibly another fOrtnight after that before actually doing some "real" action. Since finding out how much I had been charged over the years £1700:eek: I am just feeling so desperate to have that money back. I hope I do get it. Although its not gonna clear all my debt, at least I will be able to get rid of all the little niggly ones and concentrate on the main c/cards. I am soooo IMPATIENT! Its taking over my life.
  • Hello all, I am not getting any responses at BAG - and I’m in need of a bit of support.
I have 3 accounts with LloydsTSB. About 6 years ago, my circumstances changed so I haven’t incurred as many charges since then, never the less there are some there.

    As of today
Account 1) £80 – Letter before action due
    Account 2) £110 – Prelim letter due
    Account 3) £120 – Prelim letter due

Trouble is, the information I got when I sent the DP request for the first account was very comprehensive and include ALL the statement for the last 6 years. Today, I got the response from the request for the second 2 accounts and initially I thought the information was inadequate as it didn’t include all the statements. I went though the accounts using the online search engine – going through 3 months at a time. The list of charges was the same (at least back to 2002 when the online info dried up) so I am planning to submit the prelim letter for the 2 accounts and wait for the response, then combine the 3 and send the LBA.
I would be really grateful if someone relatively knowledgeable could read this and let me know I am not being thick.
    Thank you as always,

  • Although, I'm not entirely knowledgable, I wouldn't just add the third after the prelim letter. It might be classed as being unfair if you add it to the LBA and not the prelim. I might be wrong but that's how I see it.

If the accounts are all with the same bank you go to court with the one figure from 3 accounts, as you cant have 2 actions against one bank at any one time.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Just thought I might add where I'm up to with this. At the beginning of the week, I posted my preliminary letters to the three credit card companies I am claiming from (£180 in total). I have yet to send my letter to my bank (current account) as I feel a little scared doing so! Pathetic I know!

Fortunately, I haven't had to mess around with DPAs as I've got my statements going back 10 years. Going through my statements, it made me cringe seeing how much money I've wasted over the years!! If only I'd saved it, I'd be rich now!

I know and i am only 19! Just sent my letter to Capital One £82 in two months charges, waiting for statements for bank but wondering wether to send to branch or some sort of head office (natwest)
  • Go to the Consumer Action website and click on the Natwest thread, they;ll give you all the info you need for that.

Thanks for that! Just a pain getting these statements! They are very suspicious!
