No you don't claim interest as that is what they get for us borrowing from them, it is not a penalty. Just the car abuse/ OD fees, bounced chq, bounced DD fees

can you claim for loans that have charged you for a missed /late payment fee?0

If the charges were punitive and not liquidated damages charges then yes.0

I followed advice from CAG and Capital One have offered to settle out of court, despite the initial letter and LBA. I did file on line and they acknowledged the claim and showed an intention to defend.
My letter arrived last week and hopefully my cheque will arrive at some point this week. Hooray! Thats £170 I thought I would never see again...
Sainsburys Bank next... and then Barclays... and then GE Money... and Tesco... and Natwest....

Probably because it would cost a lot money initially if it went as far as issuing a claim - I know you get it back but depending on the amounts being claimed it could run into £100's!Proud DFW Nerd #62

I had a letter from Abbey this morning. I sent a 'letter before action' last week. The letter this morning from the Abbey states that they are looking into the £60 charges I have claimed for and will get back to me within 4 weeks. Not sure if I should wait or take it to court next week. But if I do not take any action they will think I am just trying it on.

Cos I get confused easily!!!
But seriously, it's quite time consuming (as I'm sure you know) and I don't want to muck up and miss a deadline. I'm currently working 2 jobs, both of them shift work and I desperately don't want to screw up my timetable because I am tired or because I am away from home.
I have it all planned... don't you worry

You set the timescales Peppa, not them. Don't wait, file as you said you would.
