    Well have had to start moneyclaim with capital one cos they're not budging - we'll see.

    HSBC sent me a full and final offer of £300 - I'm claiming £650 - hmmm maybe they didn't read my original letter properly???????? Oh well, I shall reiterate my LBA to them and them have until 16/5 to refund in full or it's moneyclaim time...

    Can anyone offer advice please? I asked for some on the other thread but didnt really get anywhere.

    I have a LOT of fees over the past six years and was told it would be beneficial for me to do this through the local court rather than the online system, that way I could actually attached the various list of charges on the account rather than be limited (online). I have approached the bank in the suggested manner, several letters giving so many days to provide the info, which of course, they did not (Abbey).

    I am at the point of making the first move in the court proceeding. Would someone be able to direct me as to what exactly to do next and how to word it? I repeat, I can't go down the online route. The charges are less than £5,000 so it's not a matter for the high court (or whatever it is).

    I have been and posted on the chargeshell wesite but didnt get much response there either (funny really, everybody seems to direct people there but I couldnt find the answers, maybe it's a layman's terms thing - lol)

    I would really appreciate some direct advice either on this thread or PM. Thanks in advance.

    I am still waiting for my backlog of statements to be sent (I'm too impatient!!) - but according to my online banking, for the period I could search I was charged around £500 in a few months - I was awful, cant believe how bad I was!! This will definately come in handy for my travel fund - cant believe I didnt think of this sooner!!

    Cant wait to get statements & sit and work out how much they came too.

    Quick question. I shouldnt be claiming overdraft interest should I? (or standard account charge?).. I was getting charged £60 a month for an unpaid loan - eeeek!!

    xx

    Hi comicmankev,

    I have submitted my court claim in Scotland so won't be much help - but I didn't use moneyclaim either. I downloaded the claim form from the Scottish courts website, filled it in which was really easy as it had an autofiller, then went to the court with 2 copies and 2 copies of my list of charges. So you'll probably need to do the same. I searched for my nearest court on the Scottish courts website.

    I don't know if you have found it, but I used the https://www.consumeractiongroup.com/forum which worked for me - I had to post a few times in a few different places on the forum, but I eventually got the answers I needed. They also have a Library and a toolkit to guide you through the process - just have a browse around.

    MBNA = £4,000 / Next = £925 (approx. tbc on 19/8)
    Tesco = £2,910.11 / Smile overdraft = £500
    Bank of Scotland = £2,782.83

    Hi there - I did my claim direct with the court. I used the template from the library on the consumer action group website ( bank action group ). It is listed as the 'hard copy' version. I used that template and added my details to it. I went to the court and completed the forms but used the letter as an addition as well as a print off of the charges and interest ( also available from the consumer action group website ) if you need any more help please post again or pm me.

    Hi MsLondon

    No you don't claim interest as that is what they get for us borrowing from them, it is not a penalty. Just the car abuse/ OD fees, bounced chq, bounced DD fees
