Just a quick message to say that I've used Jual Domestics several times over the past couple of years and have had absolutely no problem with their products, delivery or service. Their prices were the best I could find.

I appreciate that others have had problems - I too have had problems with other suppliers - but felt that Jual have been given too bad a press by other writers.

I reiterate what others have said: always check that the model number you have ordered is exactly what you want and is specified on the invoice or email. If you are buying in their retail stores the number can be checked on their display models. Online the best place to check is the manufacturer's website.

I wanted to buy an AEG oven (with pyrolitic cleaning) from Jual. The model number on the site was not correct so I rang them to confirm the details of the oven and made it absolutely clear what I wanted. The oven is great, exactly what I wanted, and much cheaper than from any other site.

So the service can be sketchy - if you want perfect service go to John Lewis and pay their prices. Just do everything you can to ensure that you are buying exactly what you want.
  • "Too bad a press" - nobody complains like this without due cause. "Service sketchy" - non-existent. When one pays for goods, is it unreasonable to expect them to be delivered at some stage?
  • Wish I had read this thread before I placed an order last week for a fridge.

Was called and emailed the next day and delivery arranged for a 2 hour slot on Saturday. Was called to say the van driven had crashed and was awaiting recovery and delivery would be rescheduled.

Have e-mailed and called today with no response.

I think they have gone out of business. In tiny writing on their website...

Lisa Jane Hogg and Claire Louise Foster of Wilson Field Limited were appointed Joint Administrators to Jual Domestic Limited on 2 August 2011. The affairs, business and property of the Company are being managed by the Joint Administrators without personal liability

I think I should be ok as I bought the item on my credit card?

As of yesterday 3rd August 2011 the company Jual Domestics went into administration. I purchased a washing machine online on the 29/06/2011 and for the last 4 weeks have been given excuse after excuse, out of stock was the main one and waiting for new stock, then i was told there was a fault on the washer i had ordered and hotpoint had recalled them.

I should have had alarm bells ringing then really but gave them the benefit of the doubt, finally on the 29th July i rang them to see what was going on with my order and was told hotpoint were still having problems and it could be another 10 weeks, so i cancelled my order, the guy on the phone told me my money would be back on my card in 5 days.

well 5 days was up today so i gave them a ring, only to be told that they had gone into liquidation, so now i am £300 out of pocket, i paid with a visa debit card i am with Lloyds bank, is there anything i can do.?

    Hi Nobby 16,

I have spoken to Lloyds this Morning, also spoken to Wilson Field, (Administrators) they have took my details and are forwarding me all the relevant info i need to take to my bank, the bank disputes dept said i need an invoice of the bill of sale, and any other confirmation of the order i placed with Jual Domestic, i also need now to wait for Wilson field to mail me their info regarding this case, so i can take to my bank, who will then fax it all over to the disputes dept for me, however, the guy from my bank did say i "should" get my £300 back, BUT, it is not 100% guaranteed. :-(
  • i ordered with Jual domestics on 22/7. was told that 3 out of the 5 items werent in stock and they would call me the following week about how long delivery would take.
    i havent had any call.
i called yesterday morning and was told that somebody would phone me back, they didnt. i called today to see what was going on and they informed me they had gone into administration.
they can arrange delivery of my items that are in stock and expecting them on tuesday (fingers crossed) but i had to speak to the administrators for a refund. i spoke to them and they quickly said NO! they are sending confirmation out to me that Jual have gone into administration and i will need to send that to my bank.
fortunately i paid on my halifax credit card and they have said they are processing my claim and that i will get my money back, once everything has been confirmed :)
  • Looking at their pattern of trading, no doubt there will be a "Phoenix Company" to pick up the profitable bits of the ashes, leaving the creditors to whistle.
  • Perhaps the administrators should get their website modified or taken down. It looks like business as usual if you go there...
  • Guy's, I too bought from this (so called) company, I thought I had purchased an AEG Freezer and I too am £350 out of pocket. Trying to get some of my money back from the credit card company, along with another bit from a prepaid debit card from Citi, who are proving to be a challenge despite the "Chargeback" rule.

Thing is that they took my money on 14th July, telling me it was a special order and delivery would be up to 4 weeks. However, it seems the freezer I ordered was discontinued by AEG (depsite it being on their website), so they had plenty of time to come back and till me this, I am furious that company's can trade like this, they are clearly just ripping people off.

I went along to the shop to order my freezer, the shop was on a High Street and was full of washers, freezers, fridges and cookers. So, there are some assets.

Agree, that the website should be shut down.

Had my letters now off Wilson field (Administrators) dealing with Jual, so now i have to print off all my emails between myself and Jual, take all this to my bank on Monday and get them to fax it all over to the debit card disputes dept, and hopefully i can get my £300 back on Chargeback.

Fingers crossed, and i totally agree the website should be shut down as they are still trading and more than likely still ripping people off, how can they still be allowed to trade if they have gone bust?
