Oh dear . . what a terrible company . . . at least if you read this thread.
I've bought from them a number of times.
First purchase was an LG american side by side fridge/freezer. Slight damage to the rear and left hand side (listed as R grade) £400 with full manufacturers warranty. Saved a fortune, delivered FOC next day, had no problems, still doing what it should 7 years on.
Last item I bought from them was a washing machine. After searching the net, bought a Hotpoint Aquarius, much cheaper than anywhere else, collected it same day from the warehouse. Fully packaged and shrink wrapped and I can't find any damage so not sure why it was listed as "R Grade".
Just thought I'd balance the negatives, always found them helpful courteous and excellent value. And no, I don't work for 'em and not connected with them in any way apart from being a very happy customer.0 -

Matter now referred to Small Claims Court. Watch this space.
They have also been ordered by Companies House to correct their documentation and website to show their correct name and Registered Office.0 -

My experience of Jual has been much the same as yours, but it appears that collecting from their warehouse is the way to avoid problems. I only live a mile away from there so it's easy for me but for anyone needing delivery it seems they are not so good to deal with.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
As most people will be aware, if a person receives a bad experience then they will tell 10 people, if you receive a good experience then you are only likely to tell 1 person. This is why I felt it important that I reply with my experience.
I was a little concerned when I found this forum after I had placed my order but decided that I would not jump into cancelling and give them the chance, and glad I did.
I found my new fridge freezer on Jual about 20-30 quid cheaper than competition.
I ordered last Sunday at about 10.45 pm, at 8.50 Monday morning I had a phone call to confirm that delivery would be on Thursday and they would call on wednesday with a 2 hour time slot.
Wednesday pm I had that call with a delivery window of 1-3 Thursday. I was a little concerned when 3pm came and went without delivery but then at 3.20 the knock on the door with the fridge freezer. So it is now unpacked, set up it is in perfect order brand new and undamaged.
So all in all I give Jual 5 out of 5, yes they missed their delivery slot but only by a little, when I come to buy a new oven later in the year I will have no concerns about using Jual (if they are the best value of course). Very happy customer.0 -
Hi all,
Just joined this site, read all of the horror stories about this company and still placed an Order.....wish me luck!
I was looking for a Whirlpool AFG6216 Chest freezer (found it on the Argos site then did a search to see if it was cheaper elsewhere). Jual Domestic have it listed as a clearance item £76 cheaper than Argos (so it would cost me 42% more to buy it from Argos) though some of the other online discounters are also about £20 cheaper than Argos.
Basically that is a saving that I can't ignore, plus I don't need this Freezer in a hurry as it is to replace a 20 year old model that is still running fine (but can't last for ever!) so any delivery delay shouldn't be a problem.
Experience so far is fine. I took the advice from the thread and didn't order on line, instead phoned up and got through to a Salesman in reasonable time (no more than a minute of canned music). Questioned the Salesman and he assured me that the product was brand new, in original packaging etc (I was concerned that it might have been ex demo) and was just in the clearance section as it is a line that they aren't going to stock any longer, and also that it was in stock.
Have paid by credt card and agreed a delivery date of Sat 2nd July (they promise to call on the friday and give me a 2 hr time slot), so will now sit back with crossed fingers and hopefully reap the benefits of a £76 saving. :j
Most of the posts on this thread relate to late deliveries due to items not being in stock and poor customer relations. I think I am safe from the former and hopefully won't encounter the later. I'll let you know how I get on.
P.S. Had never heard of this vendor up to an hour ago and have absolutely no connection with them.
Regards

Further to my post above Jual did indeed phone the day before delivery and then delivered exactly on time.
When I unpacked the freezer there was a small dint in the side, but in all fairness this couldn't be seen with the packing in place. Also as it wouldn't be visible when the unit was installed I decided that it wasn't worth reporting.
My experience of this company has been very good, but then I did avoid the pitfalls that others have encountered.

Hi,
Just thought I'd add my voice...
- I ordered an oven and cooker hood back on 12th April from Dual domestics over the phone.
- I was told the oven wasn't in stock and could take 4 weeks, but I went ahead and ordered as we wouldn't need the oven for 6 weeks
- a week later I called and added ducting to my order, I have received email confirmation of the first order, but not the added ducting.
- 4 weeks later after no contact from them, I called only to be told the oven had arrived off the lorry but was damaged and they were having to reorder one and it would take 7-10 days and they would call. True or not - they should have contacted me to tell me so.
- IT IS NOW OVER 3 MONTHS SINCE ORDERING and i have just phoned again after receiving NO CALLS FROM THEM. After an awkward pause I was told it would be another 7-10days and they would call when it's in stock
HUH???
Wish I had read this forum - I was just dazzled by the low prices i guess.
I'll give them this 7-10 days but it's their last chance before I cancel
I'll let you know how I get on...wish me luck0 -
I wish I’d read this thread before placing an order with Jual Domestics. Usually I research online companies that I plan to do business with, but in this case, as I discovered Jual Domestics via Which magazine, I rather naively, as it’s turned out, assumed that they were ok, and hence didn’t bother.
Our dishwasher had broken down, after 10 years service, and I was quite keen to get another Neff, as it had been a pretty good buy. I was pleased to find a Neff machine in Which’s ‘Best Buys’, and followed the link to Jual Domestics site, where I ordered the Which recommended model. I was informed that delivery would take 10 to 14 days. I received a confirmation of order email, and payment was taken immediately, I later discovered.
When I had not heard a word in two weeks, I phoned Jual, to be informed that the machine I had ordered was still not in stock (they hadn’t bothered to contact me), but they had the same machine in the warehouse, which they could deliver in 5 days, although it had a different serial number, as ‘Neff were always changing their serial numbers’. By this time we had been without a dishwasher for nearly 3 weeks, (a lot of work for a busy family of 5), and bearing in mind that they already had my money, and seeing no reason to doubt the changing serial number story, I agreed to the delivery of the alternative.
It arrived yesterday, and was installed several hours later. However, it doesn’t work properly. It starts and runs, but the programmes don’t end! It just keeps on running; for hours!
I phoned Jual this morning to be told that an engineer would have to come out to look at it, and that they would contact Neff, who would contact me within 48 hours! Alarm bells ringing, I offered to contact Neff myself, (at least I would know it had been done) and upon phoning them, I discovered that the machine I’ve bought, although ’new’, was made in July 2009, and is now a discontinued model!!! It has been sitting around in a warehouse for nearly 2 years, so no wonder it doesn’t work. I explained all the above to Neff who suggested I contact Jual again to say that I was not happy, I hadn’t been informed that I was buying old stock, and that I wanted it changed, etc.
I phoned them back straight away, to receive a very unsympathetic response, and the following pathetic excuses/ reasons. I had accepted the alternative machine, there’s no way they could know it was 2 years old, the company had been recently taken over and they didn’t have all the paperwork for the stuff in the warehouse, it fitted the spec of the machine I’d ordered, an engineer would have to look at it whatever, etc, etc.
This would all be fine, and they would have got away with it, were the machine working properly. But it isn’t. It is not fit for purpose. Phoning Neff back again, I booked a visit with the engineer. Although admitting to be no expert, the Neff Customer Service lady, who was very helpful, said she thinks it could be the water heater at fault, which is a £200 plus repair, more than half the cost of the machine!
Sorry for this very long post, but I thought it was worth a read to further illustrate this company’s obviously extremely cynical attitude to business ethics, service, and customer relations. Watch this space.0 -
Im in the domestic appliance sales business and believe me, most of these internet guys are making very little profits. Some sell at cost and work on a rebate - rewarded if they spend a certain ammount. But if they dont reach it - they could well of worked all year for nothing.
Many go bust because of the large turnover and tiny profits - they are so small its difficult to tell whats been made.
I have done the internet thing selling masses online - but for the small margin and the expectations form the consumer - I could not offer the service I wanted to give for the price paid.So I stopped.
My point is if you want the service - the info - the backup - try shopping local.
For example if you were to know your product was not arriving for weeks on end then most would pay the extra £20 they thought they had saved !
My store on the German brands can usually match or beat many net prices.
Many of these brands dont want net stores as they can be unstable and cost the manufacturor when they go bust. They also want a shop front with expert advice - the quality service that a top brand deserves.Thats what thay want.
So if you pay the low price you will sacrifice something as nobody wants to work for nothing and give top service.
Thats why I ceased net trading.
I hear the moans and groans every day from people that have bought appliances online - or waiving prices thay have found on the net.
Last week I had to tell the customer the product they had found online THAT THE COMPANY SHOWED IN STOCK HAD NOT BEEN MADE YET OR BROUGHT INTO THE COUNTRY.
Good luck all with your purchase problems - hope they are sorted swiftly.0
