I'm slightly miffed I didn't find this thread earlier. I ordered a cooker on the 26th November, yes it was cheap but the website also assured that this was a company that actually has warehouses and stock.

Our existing range cooker had done sterling service but one of the ovens had packed up and it would be good to have two operational ovens for Christmas Dinner. Jual took the money on the 27th and we waited for them to contact us regarding the delivery date.

We got to the beginning of December and still no sign of the cooker, getting through on the phone was an exercise in futility. The numbers printed on the invoice they sent didn't work and nobody answered the numbers that did actually ring.

I sent an email in December and received a call around the 20th to tell me that the cooker wouldn't arrive until the New Year. We we're given the chance to cancel the order at this point, but given that we weren't going to be able to find an alternative before Christmas I decided to leave it.

We struggled through Christmas on a single oven and on the 10th of January I emailed again to ask when to expect delivery. They mailed back the same day and stated they were expecting delivery at the end of the week or by the following Monday/Tuesday at the latest. I emailed again on the 20th January, and again was told that my cooker had been due in last week and they were chasing the manufacturer. I've emailed them again today and received a reply stating that they were expecting delivery Monday or Tuesday next week.

I've emailed them back to say that if I don't receive a definite delivery date by next Tuesday I will be expecting a full refund. I've called Appliances Direct and they're quoting me a delivery time of 7-10 working days, sure it's £10 more expensive and their delivery charges are higher but I might *actually* have a cooker before Easter.

All I have to do now is actually *get* a refund from them...

    Regards,
    Jason.

I'll just say you are a lot more patient that me. To be lied to 4 times by these clowns would be too much for me to take. Demand a refund if they don't deliver this time. Speaking from the POV of someone who has been ripped off and left with no cooker over Christmas by these con agents hope you sort it out.
  • Well having just ordered something from Jual Domestic and then looked at the reviews, i started to dread what i had let myself in for. I have had a run of ordering from companies who dont have stock but take the money immediatly (Pixmania was my last nightmare). That sort of practice should be prohibited under law.

Anyway, I immediately phoned my credit card company to try and stop payment being taken. Whilst they cannot do that, they told me to email them immediatly and inform them that i had changed your mind (as per 28 day consumer rights law) and they werent to take the money.

Whilst they are cheaper than Sainsbury by £30 i would much rather pay the extra with Sainsbury over a company with this many poor reviews and nightmare stories. The website s5h dot net is worth reading. I cannot be bothered to see if the washing machine is actually in stock in the morning on the back of the reviews i have read.

If you are thinking about using this company, i would advise you to think again. I have spent 1hr 30mins researching all the review sites and it doesnt make for good reading.

You would have thought that companies with poor reviews dating back to 2009 would have done something about it given the power of the net now days.

    All the best.

Love MSE. What a great site.

    "Dear Sirs,

Having read the reviews on various review sites (should have done this first) i wish to cancel this order BEFORE you take the money. I have spoken to my credit card company who confirm that if you take the money they will use this email to raise an immediate dispute. If you take the money before you read this email then an immediate refund should be proceessed.

Under consumer law i am entitled to change my mind within 28 days of purchase. Obviously 1hr after order is within that time frame.

I am sorry if you feel the above is a little harsh but the net is swamped with unsatisfied customers and customers who have written poor reviews only to have them taken down by the review centre due to threats of legal action from Jual. No doubt you have seen the reviews on moneysavingexpert, the review centre and s5h.net.

If you have any need to contact me for any reason my contact numbers are xxxxxxxxxxxxxx and xxxxxxxxxxx.

    Many thanks

    xxxxxxxxxxx

Was looking at ordering a tumble dryer from them tonight. It's lucky I googled them first and found this fascinating thread. Thanks guys for saving me a lot of hassle for trying to save about £30. JUAL, you're just not worth it.

    New management? No management!
I ordered (and paid for) an Indesit Washer on Nov 4th 2010. Told not in stock - delivery within 10 days. Not delivered before went away on Dec 6th. Arranged for definite delivery on Jan 17th. Waited in all day - nothing. When telephoned said it still had not come and would be another 4 weeks. Unable to speak to anyone senior to vent my wrath. Cancelled and got one cheaper from Mr Tesco - delivered within 48 hours.
About the worst company I have ever dealt with.
My review on reviewcentre seems to have mysteriously disappeared despite it being 100% accurate, and non-libellous.
I have also reported them to Companies House for not getting their own name right, and their failure to show their correct registered office. They should now have to change their literature, website and the name on their vehicles.
  • To put the record straight, review now restored on reviewcentre.
  • on the 16th jan 2011 I bought an item that I paid over £400 for, I still have not recieved it and they dont reply to my emails or return my calls, I always get some nice lady fobbing me off, I have no choice but to now approach trading standards for advice!

    Now disappeared again.
  • Absolutely terrible customers service!!!!! Simply the worst I have ever experienced!!!! I would strongly recommend NEVER EVER use this company. They never delivered anything and they are still yet to respond to my calls and emails. The staff are useless and have no idea about anything. When I asked to speak to a director or someone with any kind of authority - well lets just say after 8 weeks I am still awaiting my refund and a response by email or a phone call as promised. As the customer, I was not at fault, I paid my money and all I expected was the products I purchased to be delivered - NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK SURELY? It was not delivered on the date and time I was advised by them [having taken the day off to be here for the it] and when I asked them to redeliver I was told with no consideration that it would not be possible for 2 weeks and they would charge me again for the delivery!!!! [even though it was their fault?!] I ended up sending a courier to pick up the items myself and I am still awaiting my refund for delivery charges, which by the way they just love to quote you the fact they are legally allowed to wait 28 days before refunding anything! - 8 WEEKS ON!!! Not even sure this is legal! Anyway 8 weeks on no response, no refund so,,,, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU GIVE THEM NO BUSINESS! MY ONLY CONCERN NOW IS TO MAKE SURE ANYONE CONSIDERING PURCHASING FROM THIS USELESS EXCUSE FOR A COMPANY IS THAT YOU PASS JUAL DOMESTICS LTD BY AND GET WHAT YOU NEED FROM ANYONE ELSE, SO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ENDURE THE WASTE OF TIME, MONEY AND EFFORT WITH THIS INCONSIDERATE AND IRRESPONSIBLE COMPANY THAT I HAVE.

Pretty much same experience as me, except they did deliver, just forgot to tell me, so I was at work. Then asked for another £35 or so for re-delivery. Told them to get stuffed (more polite than that though!) ended up costing me the original £19 delivery as they refused to refund it. Wrote a formal complaint letter to them, which they ignored. This just about sums them up. If I can stop anyone giving them their business, I will. Happy to say I have knowingly directly lost them slightly over £600 pounds worth so far. :j:rotfl:

I have since sourced the same cooker £45 cheaper with cashback than "Fool" were charging (£403 although now back up to full price @ £535 - Bought it just at the right time!:D) from http://www.appliancesonline.co.uk/ who I cannot rate highly enough. A professional company with excellent customer service. Received no less than 4 texts and 2 automated calls confirming time/delivery slot in the days leading up to delivery. Delivery came on time exactly when stated. Delivery guys delivered it inside the kitchen, unpacked it and took the packing away all this for no delivery charge. Four days later I got a courtesy call to check I was happy with my purchase.:T
