Thanks very much i will give them a try tommorrow. Im more shocked though that the company have actually personally replied to my emails and you would have thought if you were going to be scammed once they had your cash you wouldnt have any contact with thhem at all. Hopefully it all works out and they pay me my money, but its not looking good though.

Has anyone had any dealings with Magic Finance - I've had a couple of phone calls from them, they are agreeing a loan if I pay them £69.99. Sounds dodgy to me.

It sounds as though they are a broker. ie they will not be offering you a loan, but they will find one for you.

There's no need to avoid such companies and brandish them a scam however bear in mind that they will not be determining how much you get or when, this is down to the lender. They may be in a position to search for £1000 though it will be up to the lender available for you how much will actually be paid out.

If they cannot get you a loan then you will be entitled to a refund. I would always recommend however that if you are looking for a loan then to approach a broker that doesn't charge you upfront.

it seems as if the site has closed down check your recepts of payment it is a o2 money card i am going to contact them to see if they can find out who has stole our money as the card must be registered to some one:mad:

Just ried the number quickly for xmascashloans.co.uk that still seems to be active! I wonder if that will help anyone track them down and see were they are based?

My son has just got £46 back from a £50 fee from Best for Loans.
Luckily he cancelled their service within 14 days of applying.
Same old same old ..'pay us the admin fee we have a loan already approved' then
'sorry the loan has been refused' once the fee had been paid.
It still took 2 months, a registered letter and a letter to the Financial Ombudsman to get the fee repaid.

Im looking into getting a loan from "Loan And Go". Ive checked their consumer credit licence number and all seem ok but they charge 50 quid for admin fee, they seem kosher but ive already been stung for 50 from pathway finance, anyone had any dealings with them?

If you've already been stung by pathway finance please learn from this.... Loan and Go are exactly the same. Steer well clear or you'll find yourself £100 out of pocket with no loan.

they do not seem the same though, they have offices in my hometown and are very helpful, i just do not know what to do as these debts are crippling me
