  • Thats a shame...would his parents tell you, or would this put them in an awkward position? You could always tell a white lie and say an emergency contact number is required for the kids school records?

His parents wouldnt tell me anything, they prefer to keep out of it.

Managed to get some more free cinema tickets for my local to see Rango next week. Its great but sometimes I think its free tickets but then its petrol to get there, sweets or snacks to take with us etc

Think I have enough to OP another £100 so my target is slowly getting there, OP'd this month - £450 :)

My work colleague gave me a smoothie maker last week and I have been looking for simple easy recipes. Kids and I made some this afternoon but I only had 2 pots of yogurts. It was still delicious. I really dont eat enough fruit and the kids eat a couple of peaces a day but not enough veg really. I am going to buy some frozen berries for tomorrows trial. I will be looking for quick sale fruit that wont be noticed by the kids (or me) I have also been researching that coconut water is fantastic for you healthwise but it is so dear here. I might even try and sneak in some kale or spinach that they wouldnt normally eat. I buy this anyway for the gpigs.

Have had a pj day today and apart from dishwasher and a couple of loads of washing I am a slob :D

Toluna is playing up at the mo, hasnt put on survey pts for over a week now but still doing them just in case, dont want to miss any points. :)

Took the kids swimming today, worse thing I hate is getting out and getting dry and dressed, its so cold! So proud of DS tho as he was struggling to do one length in his lessons but today he did 2 lengths, then a bit later did 4 and I said I was really proud of him so he decided later on he would try and beat that and he did 5 lengths. all in all he done 12 lengths with breaks in the middle. I love it when he beams after doing well. I will print off a certificate later to put in a frame. Now DD is not doing her swimming lessons I have said we will go swimming every other weekend, if I dont fancy it they are over 8 so can go in themselves while I watch and its only round the corner from us so no excuses really.
We will also walk to Mr Ms today to get some power food for our smoothies, they are so easy to make and really good for you so again no excuses really.

Have dentist tomorrow at 9.15 for a check up, have to take kids with me as I hadnt thought that it would be half term when I booked it :o, they will have to wait in the waiting room incase I get upset again! (big girls blouse eh?)

    Pammy,

I have an inocent smoothie book I'm not using. Did you want to borrow it? You can PM your address and I will post it on Monday.
*goes off to look for book in cupboard*
*returns with book* It is this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Innocent-Smoothie-Recipe-Book-Recipes/dp/000721376X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1298215085&sr=1-1

It has various smoothie recipes for fruit and veg and you don't need loads of yoghurt.

We had the frozen berries today which was lovely and chilled but a bit too thick, might add some milk next time, we just had apple juice. added the kale which we couldnt taste, sorry for tmi but hoping it will sort my digestivre system out!

  • If your insides need sorting Pammy, try adding linseeds to cereal or your smoothies. I find a spoon of them really helps, and not too calorific for seeds.

Smoothies are great, but i don't like cleaning the machine after. My God i am lazy.

The cleaning isnt too bad as I rinse it out straight after and flush the water through and it just sits on the drainer until next days use. I never thought about linseeds, will get some of them too, thanks. will keep those to mine :)
