Tell him you are having your "parts" tightened up to please your new lover...that should ensure he won't ask again.

    :rotfl:

    That was funny!

When I had my consultation, they got me in v quickly afterwards. Could you not take the kids to the consult? Sorry not sure how old they are?

Is there not a friend that could watch them if not? I remember having to ask the ex for things to do with DD and I used to wish I didn't bother in the end. It seemed to be more hassle etc.

Re your tooth, I know that it's affecting your sleep, but without sleep your pain will be worse as your body will be run down. I know it' easier said than done. I remember the pain well and I don;t wish it on anyone.

If I could take the kids I would but the appt is at 2.45 and its round the corner from work. The kids finish school at 3.20. The kids have been in their new school for a year now but I still havent got close enough to anyone that I could ask something like that.

I am just hoping that I can change the time to earlier. fingers crossed Its just so annoying with things like this. Sometimes I wish I had moved back home at times likes this.

Does your children's school have an after school club you could use just this once?

I really hope you manage to get an earlier appointment or sort something out, I agree with Michelle regarding our DHs...we are always the ones having to do the juggling and have no choice in the matter!

Their dad doesnt live with us and always uses work as an excuse even if he isnt working. His new wife doesnt like him doing things for us.

There is an after school club off site but I dont want to pay for it when they have a blooming day who is being awkward!!

It looks like you will have no choice but to ask his parents to help out, you need to get the tooth sorted. As for the ex, I'm a firm believer in "what goes around comes around" It will be him that loses out in the long run with the kids.
Hope you are not in too much pain tonight, take carex

well ex is carrying on today saying that he is going to the csa to get his maintenance payments down. He reckons that he is now a trainee at his work so his wages have gone down. I told him if he wants to be nasty to me then stopping the kids money isnt going to do it. That pays towards their clubs and school trips and uniform etc I think because I have got his back up thats his retaliation, but am hoping if he does it that it backfires on him!! if he dare do it that is. He cant see the kids any less than he does now so money is his only thing to hit back at me.

Rang hospital and if I change the appt I will have to wait until april. A different ex of mine who I am still friends with offered to have the day off work to pick the kids up. I mean someone who isnt even related to us is willing to do that and their dad cant even be bothered. Most dads would love the chance to spend extra time with their kids and some even fight to do it. I just dont understand.
I told him that DD straight away said Dad wont do it, and he said 'I'll be having words with her!' He's such an imbocile, I dont think he can really see what he is doing to them.

I am seriously thinking of moving back near home again but sometimes my family drive me nuts!!! I am looking at houses and work there and nearby.
Good news for a change tho, answered the phone even tho it was 0844 who have been pestering me and I was going to give them a piece of my mind but turned out to be my car insurance people. They asked if I was renewing and I told them probably not as it was way to high and I have been looking around and got it a lot cheaper. They said they could match it :j So thats one thing sorted and I dont have to rush to get another car although its £35 to change car, I can probably live with that if it means I can take my time to look for a better car.

  • Pammy, if he does try to reduce his payments and is successful, give it a week (or do it now) and ask for a reassessment with the CSA.
You are entitled to this at any time, and it will really annoy him, he'll have to provide income details all over again. ;)

I'm betting he is trying to bluff you into not contacting the CSA off your own bat, and that if you get a reassessment his payments will go UP.

We dont go through csa at the moment he has been paying privately for the past 5 years, he has always paid the same amount, which is the same as my mate gets for one child. I dont think he will do it though but if he does then I will contact his parents about it. (they are wealthy) He is being ridiculous.

  • Have you been on the CSA site to find out how much you legally should get? Go to the CSA if he annoys you.

I have no idea how much he earns or anything else really, he has a child with his new wife and she has a dependant at home as well, I think it roughly works out about the same unless they are on benefits but I dont know their circumstances.
