My sister is now coming to stay for this weekend as kids are at their dads but we could arrange a meet up next weekend if you are free, that would be good??
I hope you said no, since times can't be changed. Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

    I DID SAY NO

I'm with Michelle, go to the CSA. So what, he stops the payments, he builds up arrears and you get it all eventually. Arrears accrue from the date you contact them - if you contact them just after he has paid, he will owe you more:rotfl:

Also, I think he was going on about the CSA to psych you out and make you wary of doing that, probably 'cos he knows that you would get more through them.

Did you know you are entitled to some of his child tax credits, which I bet he is claiming?

I do think I would get more if I went to the csa but I would feel cruel doing it. I can manage on what he pays and am happy to do so but if he says he is dropping the maintenance then I will. I think he was testing to see if I would be scared and accept him paying less, which of course I wasnt!! I did text him this morning asking why did he say he was going to csa and when I agreed with him, he then threatened if I did he would stop the money. He replied to just forget it. So I told him that if threatening me with csa was supposed to scare me then it backfired mate!
Love it when things llike that happen lol

Paid my NV cheque in today and have OP'd another £150 :T :j

As I say my big sis is coming to stay tomorrow til monday, with the kids going about lunch time so we will prob have some sort of girly weekend, rock n roll bingo (not literally lol) and maybe a sunday lunch out somewhere so a bit costly spend but I very rarely do it so it should be fun. Almost didnt happen when she got a huge gas bill but she says what the hell, she deserves it more than me at the moment to have a break!!

Right am off to bed as shattered again, been on the go all day today.

  • well done honey managing another OP. Hope you have a lovely weekend with your sister. Beats sitting alone and doing just housework. Enjoy x
  • Good for you, Pammy, you stuck to your guns. Notice he went all "wide mouthed frog" when you called him on it.

    Op'd another £100
total this month now £350. My SS says that my average per month now stands at £325 per month to keep on target. Not sure that is manageable but will give it a good go

I realised that the child benefit will go in on 28th so that will be for next month so the one rec'd on 31st jan is spare cash :D

Also feel champion about my car insurance. Had a look around and AA came out £60 cheaper and I used TCB cashback of £26 as well which has tracked. I have gone for one off payment also saving and will put £25 a month aside. so saving on the £33 I was paying monthly. Amazing that the renewal came in at £45 has bitten the dust lol

Sister has came and went and we went out a couple of times, for lunch and bingo etc but only spent £40 which was quite good really.

ebay is at £103  dont know where it is all coming from but hey :T

  • Sounds like all is going well then hun on the OPing front. Good times with your sister over the weekend too, just what you deserve :D.

As for the ex saga... in my personal experience exes still love to have some kind of control of you :(. My ex was like that, expecting me to bow down and agree so I never 'answered back' or challenged him to begin with. At the time I was very financially dependant on the maintenance payments so I did not have the strength to ask for an increase in payments, or for him to keep to the access arrangements. In the end, I eventually did go through the CSA mainly because the fair amount was awarded and I didn't have any 'threat' of being messed about. Fast forward 9 years and there have never been any maintenance issues and my ex and I are on good terms and he sees our son on a very regular basis :)

thats great mummalove. I am thinking about going to the csa but I think I have to time it right. He reckons hes on training at the moment but its been months. I think if he plays up again I will.
Glad your lad has a good relationship with his dad

well done on the ebay sales
  • Mmm I smell a rat with the 'training' claim. Most likely he is getting paid a high amount at present and wouldn't want those payments assessed!
