I'm sorry to hear about your job Spud
I'm being bad...I can't exercise in this heat, I was going running at lunchtimes but it seems stupid to do so in the midday sun, even with sunscreen...0 -
Lost 1/2lb this week, have well slowed down considering the amount I lost to start with.
Cycled 6 miles today and walked around one mile, so exercise is going ok.
How about running up and down stairs, badgergal?Sometimes I feel like a pelican. Whichever way I turn, I've still got an enormous bill in front of me.0 -
Only have stairs at work unfortunately, I live in a ground floor studio flat so no stairs about today!
1/2lb is still good though, and you sound like you're doing better than me exercise wise!0 -
hey guys
i know i havent been on here for a while - very busy at work and the sunshine has pulled me outside instead of the study!
but here's the good news... in 3 weeks of hard work i have lost half a stone :-) yeeeey. i'm very pleased with myself - i even treated myself to my first ever pair of white linin trousers on saturday - :-)
my question now is this... do any of you tell people that you are trying to lose weight? i mean like family and friends who you go out with? i havent done as yet, and although a couple of people noticed over the weekend that im looking slimmer i still didnt admit to the hard work im putting in. i guess im a bit embarrassed that being slim doesnt come easy to me. im a bit of a perfectionist and i suppose i don't like admitting it when i find something hard to do. its easy to post on here without having people judge me. but in the real world im a bit paranoid and i think people will laugh at me. what do you guys think? maybe its just me being stupid as usual0 -

You don't have to tell people if you don't want to, I only usually tell people closest to me if it crops up, ie. they offer me something to eat, and then only if I'm totally serious about losing the weight to start with.
I think you're doing great! Most people who notice your weight loss and compliment you are probably secretly jealous as I think everyone finds weight loss difficult.Sometimes I feel like a pelican. Whichever way I turn, I've still got an enormous bill in front of me.0 -

:T :T :T :T :T Well done Mrs A - that's a fab effort!
I'm happy to report that after totally messing my efforts up during my holidays, I'm nicely back on track........have been making a real effort and cutting out all snacking during the day...and OH has been fab and is joining healthy eating (to offset the amount of beer he's drinking during the football!) so we have lots of veg with grilled fish, chicken or jacket spuds with tuna etc....and I've lost 4lb - yipeee. Am looking forward to next Tuesday's weigh-in. Mate is also doing well with a 4lb loss in the last week.
Roll on size 14 and a new wardrobe!!! (Yes I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but it's a fab incentive!) :j :j :j0
